Guitarist Nita Strauss has just released a new song with Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz! I have to say...this is rather satisfying. Are you aware of either of their work? Are you already a fan of Nita? This track seemed to get a lot views in the few days, what do you think of it?

Just hopping on to let you know that as a non-musician, yet a lover of good music, I rather enjoy your breakdowns of songs. I’m mom to a daughter who played clarinet from age 10-23, but still possess very little musical knowledge, aside from having a bit of recall in reading basic sheet music. You’re teaching me a bit about music theory, how songs are composed, and the like. So from a new fan from across the pond, thank you! Peace!

Explain why a left handed person would want a left handed guitar. I could never figure that out. Wouldn't you want your frett hand to be the hand that has more dexterity in it? I am left handed, and the fingers on my right hand are much slower then the ones on my left hand.

From Nita Strauss herself... The lyrics of this song were inspired by “The Story of the Two Wolves”, a legend widely attributed to Native American storytellers" An old grandfather was teaching his grandson about life: “A fight is going on inside me,” he said to the boy. “It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves. One is evil-he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.” He continued, “The other is good - he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith. The same fight is going on inside you-and inside every other person, too.” The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf will win?” The grandfather simply replied, “The one you feed".

In the beginning of her solo I heard Ritchie Sambora-esque phrases ... The unison bends followed by the pedal point with descending intervals. It isn't surprising considering her stint with Alice Cooper. There was overlap here and there between Alice Cooper and Bon Jovi back in the day, among others (winger etc). For example, Desmond Child co-wrote hits for both artists. With her tenure in the Iron Maidens and Alice Cooper alone she's been influenced by and had an envious opportunity to study and master a number of terrific guitarists. Travis... I'd like to apologize, I didn't realize I liked you until I first saw your podcast a couple of months ago. Now I can't stop watching. The beautiful thing is, I get to experience you and your music for the very first time.
