I did an Eagle Scout project where I repainted fire hydrants. At one apartment complex, a woman came and got pissed at me for doing it, and then called the fire Marshall to confirm I had permission to do it (I did, he gave me the map to know which ones to paint). People just want to be mad at something.
@laurenarigo3894

One of the streets fire hydrants is in front of our house. My brother was purposely annoying my dad. So he sent him out with a small metal brush and had him get all the loose paint off. Clean it with soapy water in a bucket he had to lug down and then dry it and paint it. Our street wasn’t populated much back then. The hydrant at the end of the street used to be used by the fire department to do something with their trucks. They would hook up and spray into the retention pond late at night.

yeah it's quite similar here in Ireland,even for private properties especially in the countryside such as farmlands or someone with a lot of acres of land,they are chill with you cutting through it or walking your dogs there as long as you aren't causing problems, a lot of the time they are the best walking spots or near the sea and good fishing spots...I slept on a farmers land once next to his cow field to be there early in the morning for the tide,had a little fire going and all and he didn't come raging at us,you would often catch your fish and have a little disposable bbq and make a day and night of it and head home in the morning...

Had something like this happen to me. Our neighbor who we are very close to often asks us to pick excess lemons from her tree since most of them spoil. The neighbors two houses down calls the cops on me and my friend saying we were breaking and entering, luckily when the cops came we were able to explain the situation and told them if they wanted extra proof we would call the homeowner. That neighbor called a second time saying our 12 pound maltipoo was being aggressive and also called the cops again. Little guy doesn’t even like to get out of the house let alone fight anyone. Joyless people

When my grandfather died we were cleaning out the house. I took cuttings from his beautiful rose garden so I could grow some of his roses as a reminder of him after the house sold. She just wanted neighborhood gossip or even better…to call the police. 🤦‍♀️

Yeah, I did play outside a lot as a kid to the point I'd only come home to eat and sleep. There were quite a few adults however who always for some reason felt like the owned certain things that weren't even on their property and were instead on public property. One lady for example thought she owned the entire cement bike path in a field which literally continued for 20 blocks alongside transmission towers. Unless she literally owned those transmission towers, I doubt she owned any of that massive field which also had government trucks that would drive down the bike path in order to do occasional repairs on the transmission towers. It was clearly not her property and was government property made specifically for having those transmission towers along with the bike path so they could drive down it to make the occasional repairs, and yet she insisted that kids shouldn't be playing there because she owned all of it.

Just about everywhere one goes is 'private' property nowadays lol, especially when your living in a suburb or something. So its kinda tough for kids to play outside anymore unless they live in the countryside or have parents that actively take them to parks or something lol. Rough times, I remember playing in the woods until near dark as a kid nowadays tho most the land is owned by someone.

He begins to tear up from his own intensity like a child who's throwing a temper tantrum. I don't know the law but people already get incredibly concerned and call the police when it's two adults in a confrontation. Getting in a confrontation with a child as an adult should immediately be some kind of harassment/assault charge. People who lack control in their lives are always openly pathetic this way and it should be punishable when it's towards children.

Although I am a geezer myself, I agree with you. The one-room subsidized apartment I live in has no "HOA", but I can see the oppression and awfulness here. My only problem is the meth-heads who ALSO somehow live in this government complex. They start fires and threaten elderly residents. Sometimes the fire department has to tend to their flaming meth messes. Standing outside in the cold is horrible while I watch firehoses damage my worldly possessions. Even in the summer, there is suddenly no place to pee every twenty minutes during a meth rout, so I soil my Depends. The building stinks of chemicals as a result. I don't mind if anyone fishes in the puddles around this project. They're WELCOME to my turds. But everyone hates "Karens", even those in her demographic.

You have to put the work in to not become a dick as you age like this guy. Young people aren't my enemy - they seem a lot more compassionate than people older than me. The biggest problem for a lot of homeowners is the fear of being sued for no reason because someone’s kids got hurt on your property. This guy is a lunatic and so many others are as well. This is pathetic and he is just a miserable drunk. But for some, they react the wrong way out of fear of being sued for a ton or money like i said. Or their property being damaged. With how expensive everything is now, it’s hard enough paying bills. But there are different ways to go about it. Old people are too old, so they forget what it’s like to be kids. That’s sad man, this world is way different than when i grew up in the 90’s and early 2000’s

4:37 No, he doesn't think the police showing up will be on his side, which is why he's desperately trying to intimidate the kids into leaving and constantly threatening to throw their phones in the lake to destroy the evidence of his assault. I'd bet hard cash that he knows that the second the police arrive and the kids show them their recording, their criminal trespass will be DWARFED by his assault of a minor, and he'll more than likely be arrested. Which is why he's flailing his arms, getting in their faces, and acting all big and bad in an attempt to scare them off BEFORE the police arrive. You know - like an inept coward who likes to seem bigger and badder than he actually is.

Yes this! The same reason he is about to cry. He is scared because his threats didn't work and the police are actually coming now and he took it way too far. I bet this is the 1000th time he's done this and the 1st time someone stood their ground. Seems like he gets his "gang" to come watch him be a big man and was embarrassed when he saw them slowly start to leave one by one because they too realized they didn't want to be around when the cops showed up.

This is actually super relatable to me, I live in north texas, just north of dallas, and its the exact same here. There is no group of people I have less respect for than HOA members, and people who gatekeep ponds. Near my house, there is this super juicy pond, the best spot within about a 10 mile radius and me and my friends were the only people that knew about it. About a year after I first discovered the lake, I also found out my brother has a friend whos house backs up to that lake. Fortunately, the parents were super cool and let me and my friends cut through their backyard whenever we want to fish the pond, and use their boat and kayaks. Eventually, an old folks home was built on the lake, and they immediately found out we fished there and put up no tresspassing signs. One sneaky detail is that the lake itself is the property of my city, because its a water supply for the city. So the retirement home can kick people off the shore, but cant do anything about boats. That being said, one day they called the cops on me and my friend while being on kayaks on a public body of water. They wasted police resources while there were real crimes being committed because my friend and I had the audacity to fish a public body of water. We later learned that the lady told the cops over the phone that me and my friend got out of the kayaks, pulled knives on her, and tried to snatch her phone. She was so salty about people fishing that she genuinely tried to ruin my future with assault charges. sorry about the rant but that's my experience with people who were given way too much power for their pathetic little egos to handle.

We have a pond at the very edge of our property that some local teens like to hang out by. I've talked to them like a normal person and all I ask is that they don't leave any garbage and that they don't swim in the pond because when it dried up two years ago, there was a TON of metal and other stuff poking out of the mud at the bottom and I don't want anyone to maul themselves if they go in the water. So far no problems - amazing what happens when you approach kids with respect and make reasonable asks.

These kids are being crazy respectful actually. I gotta say when I was 15 my friends and I would hang out in construction sites after hours and smoke, that’s actually trespassing and if a herd of retirees got in our faces we would have verbally eviscerated them in minutes and then ran away giggling about it and it’s not like I was a teenager all that long ago I’m only 21. I think it’s pretty standard for teenagers to be assholes, especially when someone is getting in their face.
