@donaldromesburg1902 My heart goes out to you. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. No parent should ever have to bury their child. I also hope that your other daughter has an uneventful pregnancy and delivers a healthy grandchild to your family. You are very correct about music being good for the soul. I have a lot of trauma from my own youth, and music has always been a companion I could rely on whenever times would get rough. Music can convey things that words cannot. Music can touch someone in places that nothing else can (emotionally and spiritually). Music can help free you from demons that you weren't even aware were riding your shoulders. Music has always been a major part of my life, and it shall continue to be until (and likely beyond) the day I become "One" with the universe.

You are correct, this song is about the circle of life. Most people get confused by thinking it is about one mother dying during childbirth. It is actually about two different mothers, one is giving birth in one room, while in the next room another is dying at that same exact moment. The confusion of life is transferred from the dying mother to the baby at that exact moment. Hence the dying mother's "intentions fall to the floor" and the baby's confusion about life starts "before the doctor can even close the door."

Some people believe in the well of the souls where one has to die in order for new life to come from the well. I tease my sister about it. She was born, the same day my favorite baseball player died tragically. Not a believer, but I tease her that she is his soul.

Another great detail is that in Greek mythology, Charon the ferryman of the River Styx, who would take you to the Underworld required two coins for passage, so people began placing two coins over the eyes over their dead loved ones to make sure they would be able to pay the toll. You see them placing the coins on the old mother's eyes here as well.

All I can think about is when this song was played on the Rick and Brad KATT 100.5 show as we were riding in a bus to the Murrah bombing site in downtown OKC. I once worked in that building. This song is incredible, however when I hear it , I get filled with survivors guilt. Back on April 12th through April 13th I went through a 32 hour long craniotomy for dissection and resection of meningioma. It was a tumor mass that was 8cm in diameter. On April 13th roughly around 4:30 pm I was announced as unresponsive while they were reversing anesthesia. The part of this moment I remember the most is when I was speaking with several friends of mine who had passed away. It seemed like myself as a whole had left earth. I end up speaking with 3 close friends of mine who had passed away several years before. I remember saying to my friend Andrew who passed away in Afghanistan, “ well guys it looks like I’ll be going you shortly “! I stood there and spoke with them for what felt like hours. The next thing I remember is when my eyes opened up in the operating room. I heard several of the staff members yelling out my name , oh my god we got him. Thank you god , I can’t believe we got Chris back. I can’t believe we got him back ! This is a moment I should have almost no memory of but I remember every last detail.

Lol, America isn't lagging behind in hypersonic weapons. They're just not wasting their time on developing something that doesn't significantly increase their tactical advantage. While no greater or lesser of a threat than any other newly developed weapon system, hypersonic missiles are of some concern. This is why America has invested more of it's time and efforts toward defense against newly revealed as well as potential/unknown weapons, which we have. That’s why America has started putting more effort into their own hypersonic weapons, doing so basically just for fun. Because they know hypersonic weapons aren't as formidable as some people like to claim. Yes they go fast but no they do not maneuver quickly simply because of the physics of traveling at those speeds. An object traveling at hypersonic speed will either make a slight adjustment in trajectory that is calculated to take effect over a significant distance because at that speed it's traveled a large distance in microseconds so it's adjustment simply takes a large distance (but a short duration of time) to complete. The other option of hypersonic maneuvering is to alter it's trajectory abruptly causing it to destabilize it's flight and/or disintegrate the projectile. As for America not having the capability to defend against hypersonic missiles let me say in the words of President Trump. . . "Wrong." I agree that we didn't at first but it didn't take long and that was remedied. America's current air defense systems are capable of handling hypersonic missiles they just needed the data programed into its system. Which they've done. It's all about early warning and calculating an effective intercept path.
