Praise the lord. I went to the range just now and stopped my early extension and I hit the ball 80% more accurate than today's earlier range session. I have been frustrated with my inaccuracy for 25 years!! I want to cry

My absolute favorite thing about Eric is that, even though he is obviously already a successful teaching pro, he is not afraid to reach out to others in his profession in an effort to learn even more. As he states, he has done over 650 videos and a lot of them are with other professionals who may have a different way of explaining a "feel" that becomes that "aha" moment. No ego, no "my way is the only or best way". Thanks Eric....I'm a big fan and enjoy all of your content. This video with Mike explains the hip clearing feel in a very easy to understand way. Now if I can just execute it.

Thank you so much for collaborating with Mike! This video DID fix my entire swing! I think so many of us amateurs get info overload from you pros....not saying YOU or Mike, but as you mention in this video....he said it so simply to where there isn't any room for misinterpretation. I was always trying to "rotate hips" or "get to my front".....this drill, or this way of explaining, made it so easy for me to do and the results are off the charts! Thanks again!

Worked on this yesterday at the range with great results. I tend to slide forward and deloft the club. This move/drill allowed me to stay more behind the ball as well as stay more down through the shot. I picked up 5-10 yards on my 9 iron, which is big for this 64 year old! Great video and thank you so much!

Yikes! Good to know I have been thinking about this wrong for 25 years....went to the range last night and was simply blown away by this particular video. ECG is top tier stuff across all the material but holy cow...this one is an absolute game changer for me. The other pieces of the swing are not things I typically struggle with so perhaps thats helping with quicker results. Thank you for this!!!

Great video and very timely for me. I'm curious though in your video "The Two Best Feels To Fix Your Early Extension" you note that you haven't had a lot of success fixing early extension by giving people the feels that butt stays back. Have you changed your views on this or do you see this as slightly different? Just seems like hitting that rod seems very close to that.
@CogornoGolf Жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew! In a swing, all we want to do is have your hips/butt stay on the wall that you start on (not go excessively forward or back). That's what this drill will help with...it'll help keep your hips stable/"on the wall" if you normally struggle with thrusting your hips towards the ball and early extending. Lots of different feels and drills can work...the main key is recording every swing on video and checking yourself against the checkpoints👊 More info on this topic here! kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4OooXR-iLONmpI

This video is great because it simplifies the downswing. In the backswing, don't you also move into your right hip socket?
@CogornoGolf Жыл бұрын
Thanks Peter! Yes! When you flare your trail foot at P1, you're presetting the external rotation in the trail hip socket so that you can internally rotate the femur into it on the backswing👍
@philwilkinson2924 Жыл бұрын
This is the one thing I'm working on this winter to activate the ground... push right foot into ground which for me automatically then transfers pressure into left foot so I can push left hip back and firing my body through impact.

Hey David! The FEEL or thought will be different for each individual golfer depending on where they are coming from. If you keep your lead leg bent TOO LONG in the downswing, then that would be a nice feel for you. As with all things golf swing, it's nice to have an idea of what the "stock model" would look like...here's a video you may enjoy checking out on the lower body action to start down: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKGbZomhnqiko7M Hope this is helpful!
