I have a RM 2 and I will buy this one, because it solves my main problem with the RM 2: I use to read scientific articles. But scientific articles have very colorful plots that at the moment I am seeing as shades of grey. So sometimes I need to go back to the computer and see the graph in colour.

A feature that would be nice (that would work with the 2) is having a secure AREA in addition to the initial device security. It's like letting someone into your house, but having your bedroom locked. 'Sure, you can come in, but this area is still off limits.' Could you please pass this idea along to the good people of reMarkable?

I like that you're right up front about being sponsored by reMarkable. I also like the review itself; you give attention to technical and design details that other reviewers miss, your script is well organized and moves along at a good pace, and I love your set and all the other production values as well. I hate sponsored reviews because I always miss when they say it’s sponsored in the video. But I can always tell when I’m being sold to after a while. The over reactions to little things. Get your money of course. I just wish I would catch that I’m watching a giant ad before I waste my time. Or at least make it feel less like an ad when reviewing.

I mean I think it was tastefully done here. The 1st 3 seconds of the video clearly states that it's a sponsored video and the text is put dead center in the middle in big bolded letters. With that being said, there are a lot of KZbin videos, especially shorts where some (not all) tech KZbinrs try to conceal their intentions. Unbox Therapy for example has gotten REALLY REALLY bad

Hey, thanks first of all for the absolutely great video of yours! I would love to get a glimpse on the visibility and sharpness of the Remarkable Paper Pro when it comes to *sheet music* . Ok, some context: I am a choir singer and have been thinking about the switch to digital paper (iPad? Remarkable?) for quite a while now and what I have noticed during my research: Nobody on KZbin is talking about this use case for this new and bigger Remarkable, but it's perfect in my view for musicians, because the bigger screen size brings it closer to A4 paper dimensions, also the e-ink screen is not as hard on the eyes and more readable in almost every lighting condition. You can take notes in the sheet and also don't need to worry about distraction through other (social media) apps as well as a short battery life as on the iPad. The only dealbreaker is: Are 229 ppi sharp enough for displaying notes accurately enough so that it is readable in the end? If you would test it out in a separate video, you could maybe partner up with some musician KZbinr, that maybe already uses an iPad or something tablet-like. Does that sound like a KZbin niche that would be covered by you first? I would love to have at least some camera close-ups of the notes on the e-ink display combined with your opinion on readability :) That would be absolutely fantastic! Have a great day and thanks in advance :)

For me the biggest upgrade is having the light. That's major. Writing in the dark is great. But I'm having a hard time acclimating to this screen. It's textured, far more than the rM2, but I don't know if I can get used to this. I'd be settling because of how great it is to have the light. If the rM2 had a front light, I'd be fine. That screen/marker combo is great. All that to say, I'm looking for one of those screen covers that add some drag to the writing experience. I miss being able to write lightly without slipping. Any suggestions?

Question for the community: how many of you want something like a reMarkable, but in a more compact A5 notepad size? reMarkable's line of products are exciting, but I've found myself gravitating towards smaller notepads when I want to jump down the hall for an impromptu meeting in someone's office. Writing while on the go or in cramped spaces (i.e. plane or car) makes a full letter-size notepad or e-ink device feel like it's a bit much. In other words... reMarkable Mini or reMarkable Note Pro? Something like that.

Why would any student carry this around over a more versatile tablet with better software (like OneNote)?
@MikeKabaWike2 ай бұрын
Heck yes. The remarkable is WAY better than a tablet with One Note. First - OneNote is "ok" but not great. If you goal is to just take notes - then the experience of writing is what is key - and the remarkable is a zillion times better to phsyically write on. It is magical. I've owned 2 years and still damn magical. I don't really use any note taking features per se. I just write notes like you would in a paper binder. So I dont know what special note taking software they have. But if you just want to write notes like you would in a binder - remarkable is the ONLY way to go.

And, I so wanted to read full-page PDF's on RM2, but it just didn't work. So, I plan to give this one a try. Seems like the updated hardware will make the speed issues a thing of the past, because the Remarkable is an incredible concept which I will buy a few of them -- once they come down.
