Which clutch fix it kit did you put on your SkiDoo last year…😂
@chadeden4717Ай бұрын
Why didn't you replace the collar also that you can get with the kit.
@ChaseMassonАй бұрын
They were sold out pretty sure I said that at the start of the vid. Think they are all sold out of both now
@chadeden4717Ай бұрын
@ChaseMasson i must of missed that when you said it. There was a lot of background noise while I was watching your video.

Polaris made an update to the collar in 2024. Even the carbon sled guys said you can run the stock collar from 2024 onward because of the update (unless you want to save some weight). 2022 and 2023 you should absolutely update the collar.

Awesome why wouldnt Polaris have fixed this at the factory level sad
@CalgaryDynastarАй бұрын
Apparently they see primary bolts as a wear item. You can buy a few spares when you stock up on a pack of 100 spark plugs at the local dealer to get through a season.
@mikegatherall3774Ай бұрын
They likely will shortly … either have to buy out the vendor or “develop”their own version to do the same thing
@CalgaryDynastarАй бұрын
@ apparently the 2025 have an “improved clutch bolts” according to Polaris
@mazdarxseven93Ай бұрын
That won't actually hold the clutch on, that only bolts the outer half of the clutch to the inner half. It threads into the threads for the clutch puller, not the crankshaft.
@mikegatherall3774Ай бұрын
Don’t agree … this fix would appear to bind the two halves of the outer sheave together just like a p85 with the bolt now only drawing the clutch onto the shaft taper like it should …Polaris will likely copy in very short order and issue fix recall
@mazdarxseven93Ай бұрын
@mikegatherall3774 Right, it bolts the moveable sheave to the fixed sheave, but it won't hold it on the crankshaft which is where they're coming off.
@mikegatherall3774Ай бұрын
@ they’re apparently coming off because the bolt is taking the pounding of the outer sheave slamming open repeatedly - shock loading the bolt. Looks like this fixes the problem by having the titanium insert shoulder take the slamming loads so that the main clutch bolt now only has to hold the clutch on (plus the taper). Time will tell but looks like this may be a very simple but well thought out solution.
@mazdarxseven93Ай бұрын
@@mikegatherall3774 I think it will help the issue, all I said is it won't hold clutch on. Polaris is releasing another new bolt for a recall soon as well.

@ also torq your clutch to 140lbs back the bolt out than retorq it to 110.
@ChaseMassonАй бұрын
@ ya I have looks like a lot of work to install it but I’ll do some testing to see how I like this setup first then go from there!!
@ChaseMassonАй бұрын
@@PaddleRacing I said that in the video didn’t I? If not I may have cut it out mine was already seated on there as I haven’t rode the sled or even took the clutch off
