This movie was not just for children, but a great reminder for adults who've lost their inner child as well. Imagination is not only a child thing, it's a human thing that we all possess! The Creator created us to be creative! If you loose your way, you can always find your way back :)

Any critic who panned this movie because they thought it was "too boring for kids" missed the entire point of it. It wasn't meant for kids. It wasn't meant for adults. It was meant for US. The PUBLIC. The PEOPLE who understand and want to connect with something positive and good from our collective memories. We really DO believe in Fairies, and Flying Pirates, and Peter Pan, and Friendly Ghosts...and Imaginary Friends that we could talk to...and at 66 years old, I still want to go out to the woods with my old friends and play "Army" where we defeat the evil Nazis, or Communists, or even Aliens from another Planet, using only sticks that we can turn into weapons of war. Come on, someone out there, join me and my old friends and we'll defend this world!

I'm a guy, in my 30's, I balled happy tears during this entire sequence. I don't know why, but apparently I needed to just cry and in joy at the same time. It's been a decade since I have cried, maybe it was just meant to happen. I love this movie so much.

I think this is one of the best interpretations of IF’s that I have seen. I loved that they didn’t use the standard tropes of new kids or senior citizens. Just “grown-ups” who had forgotten the confidence, joy and wonderment that is (in a perfect world), what being a kid is all about. This scene is beautifully executed, and I cried like a baby through the entire thing. This is a truly special film.
@markl23222 ай бұрын
You and me both. It doesn't matter if you're a kid, a young adult, a middle aged parent, an old grand parent, or an old, old person in a retirement home... All of us have a need to be loved. And all of us have the ability to create that love if we can't find it anywhere else. I sometimes look forward to the day when my mind starts to play tricks on me and I'm able to see an Imaginary Friend as if they're a solid three dimensional being....because when I die, I want to have that Imaginary Friend come with me as we explore the vast reaches of this universe...and perhaps wander into the wonders of the next.

It's just too bad that IF is overall a feel good movie in my opinion and the fact that the idea of imaginary friends is such a limited audience unfortunately caused this film to fail financially. That tells me this movie was not made with marketing and money in mind but art and creativity and I do see it here because it looks like everybody cast and all were having themselves an excellent time making this. For me 9/10 because yes there may be a few very minor issues here and there but we reserve those issues for the people who don't know how to feel good or have fun with a movie as that is what this movie really is about and what is needed in the current world now more than ever
