Niantic made a flurry of announcements yesterday regarding the next in-game Pokémon GO event. They also surprised the community by announcing that Diancie, a very powerful and useful Mythical Pokémon, is going to be available to everyone for free. Let's talk about all of this!

By early 2019, the game had over a billion global downloads, grossing over $3 billion in revenue. The game also had over 147 million monthly active users as of May 2018.

What would they lose by allowing us to get another Diancie?! Seriously. Shouldn't long time players be rewarded for continuse gameplay? For the players that don't have one, they'll be happy to get it. For those of us that already have one, we'd all be happy to have another chance to get one with better IVs. & Finally, for a company that's increasingly shown its love for putting out paid tickets and researches, why not make it a $5 ticket for those of us who would like to get a second Diancie. Ive seriously never seen a company who hates/disregards their customers the way Niantic can't stand PoGo players.

​@@bobbyrdayton9866 respectfully, gamers like you are a reason why we can't have good stuff please hear me out, if a gamedev company is having a tax relief reason (MONEY) to comply with a consultant agency called gamerx to change models, characters to be up to trends that are aligned with a specific politic interests, without any care of feedback from their playerbase, essentially robbing them of their items, which they bought or got with hard earned time/effort, changing them to a state which can't be recognized or they are not there at all. Feedback was received, but unfortunately niantic doesn't listen. Only way they will listen if we vote with wallets. Their language is money. I'm out

Also for Mankey XL candies and trades with new friends PvP IVs aren’t 0 attack so it’s possible to get the best version of one

When you say a meta relevant PVP pokemon with "PVP IV'S" does that mean low attack, high defense, high stamina? (0/15/15) for example?

These are all very common pokemon at this point though. Not a bad event as not everyone is an advanced player. Only thing I could use is shiny Zangoose. Already have xl candy for all those in each league.
