Slime DEFINITELY gave Phil enough time to say he didn’t fold. Phil handled like a cringelord from his motioning to flip the cards to “letting slime off easy”. Not to mention he’s a sexist boomer. Daniel N has played countless hands with Phil, the fact he thought it was sus says a lot. Phil kept saying it was “a friendly game” which it was, but then acted like a nit and forced a deal. What Phil usually would do is run it twice. Him pushing “a deal” made it so much worse. It came off as taunting to me too, but good on slime for giving him the benefit of the doubt.

That poker hand is 100% scuffed. Slime you got cheated out of the pot, you are all-in so your hand can not be folded. How Phil talked you and the rest of the table including 2 "pros" into making a "deal" is beyond comprehension. For you to forfeit your hand and still have to pay that 5k is ludicrous. The action was on Phil and for him to do something like this is an absolute disgrace to the poker community, I dont think he means to angle in the beginning but the outcome of the hand is just purely scummy. Best outcome would have been for you both to put 5k in the pot (the initial bet) and then run the rest of the board.

For Slime - A bit of plane knowledge if you didn't already learn it, what it sounded like happened when your plane aborted landing while really windy is called a No-Fault Go Around. It's actually pretty common, and essentially if the pilot feels like the landing is going to be unsafe or uncomfortable, they can decide to cancel their landing and try again without any questions or fault. This is done to not stress pilots into committing to unsafe landings because they might be questioned and pressured by their airlines.
