Like I have 8 minutes left in this episode and in my mind it’s as good as episode 1, or the episode with I did a thing. They just are good at making the same content but since they are talking about whatever, it’s fresh and unique. The reason water left out tastes 'stale' like they said is because CO2 is water soluble (think carbonated drinks), and so over the course of sitting out in the open air for a few days, CO2 from the atmosphere slowly dissolves into the water, making it slightly more acidic

I was laughing so hard during the "Do you think it'd be fun to be Ludwig's assistant?" and Lud's face was like "????" the entire time. I also don't know what the Selena Gomez thing was about, cause I saw her super active on TikTok last year lol. As for the regular at a restaurant or shop, I worked in a restaurant for several years as a busser/hostess/cashier. We had lots of regulars who would come in multiple times a week, if not every day (sometimes multiple meals in a day). We knew their names, and what tables they liked sitting at. This was out the window during summer / tourist season, but generally people would get the "regular" treatment. We'd see them at the window, and the servers would get their drinks ready. Then they'd ask "Doing the usual?" and sometimes they'd say no, but it was very rare. The fact it seems like an unusual weird experience for Nick kinda made me laugh, because it was quite common haha. ALSO, as a woman, never heard of hairflossing, and it sounds gross.

They discovered batteries by accident. Scientists were playing around with dead frogs and found out that when touched with two different metals the frogs would twitch. Some thought that the dead frogs generated electricity, others thought that the electricity was from the metals. The discovered that by replacing the frog with salty water electricity would still be generated. The chemistry also isn't that complex. Redox reactions are taught in high school level chemistry and I'm sure everyone has seen that lemon battery experiment.

Selena Gomez has *not* stayed off the internet for four years!! I think it's another case of a celebrity exaggerating something whacky about their life so everyone can talk and circlejerk for PR. When she's referring to "the Internet", she means keeping tabs on her own stardom; i.e: reading Instagram comments, lurking in gossip forums, googling herself. When the quote made the rounds, she popped up on my For You page for the first time ever doing a live of all things. I remember scrolling through her profile and seeing the sea of trends she posts and double-checking if she's still massive on Instagram (yes, 100%). In a similar vein, SZA has claimed to be a Ivy-educated marine biologist and someone who is allergic to fruits and vegetables. Actress Jameela Jamil apparently became bedridden for 2 years after being hit with a car and injuring her spine. She ran in front of the aforementioned vehicle because she was running away from "500 bees attacking her". Her friend admitted that it was just one or two bees.

Ketamine therapy literally saved my life so I’m kind of a ketamine evangelist now. So I’m gonna try to answer some of the questions the boys had since they covered most of the FAQs. People are doing it because it’s the most effective treatment for depression medicine knows of. For a large number of people antidepressants don’t work at all so having a treatment that works is great. It’s legal because a doctor prescribes it and administers it. Ketamine is a common anesthetic for humans especially human children. The way it is administered is like you’re having a surgery but then no cutting actually occurs. So it couldn’t be more different than street usage so like even if I wanted to do it illegally I don’t have the thousands of dollars worth of medical equipment needed to make it work the right way. Hope this helps any curious bears.

Being a barista was so boring at times that seeing that cool regular customer would be exciting. Ludwig isn’t incorrect when he talks about “stale water.” Water (any liquid) that is left exposed to the air collects/holds bacteria at a faster rate than a solid. So when you drink “stale water” or water that has been sitting out for awhile it is the bacteria changing the taste. It’s honestly best to cover your drinks when leaving it out for 4+ hours or just pouring it out.

When solid Zinc undergoes the reaction Zn >> Zn2+ + 2e- it releases 2 electrons and energy. When a copper ion undergoes the reaction Cu2+ + 2e- >> Cu it also releases energy and absorbs 2 electrons. When you separate Zn and Cu2+ with a wire, the electrons will flow through it so that both reactions can occur. This is called an electrolytic cell and works by reducing the Cu2+ (it gains electrons) and oxidising the Zn (it looses electrons). This works with any two metals that will release a net of >= 0 energy.

I did a very brief google search of "Ridicullousness" and if people died on the show. From the little that I did gather it's a bit like that whole Disney thing where TECHNICALLY they did NOT die ON the premisis/show. They are quickly ushered away before it can count. If they went to hospital and died from injuries later on then the producers of the show wouldn't even know about it, because they never follow up on it. They collect the videos by asking permissions from people, but it's like a don't ask don't tell situation, where if the stunt or accident leads up to a death they cut the clip short before the actual death part before even accepting and recieving the clip, and purposly don't ask if the person survived or not. They also post warnings before and after the show that they will not accept fans submitting videos because they don't want any that might be purposly made which could put anoyone in danger. If there is a list out there of people that died from injuries on the show, it is much more of a deeper research than a quick google.

I like how Slime is talking about "the sonic cartoon" (of which there were a couple but he's at least thinking of the right generation of cartoons for when people say "the sonic cartoon") and then Aiden hears it and can *only* think of the 2003 anime Sonic X, which, like, it's an anime, I don't care that 4Kids dubbed it like shit, it's still an anime. No one would call it "the sonic cartoon".

@@alexantone5532 I'm aware, anime is even the Japanese word for cartoon, but literally no human on earth that is not a 50 year old mother would call Sonic X "the sonic cartoon". Edit: It's about as ridiculous as calling Ed Edd n Eddy "the cul-de-sac anime".

In regards to ketamine being used to treat depression, it’s because studies have shown that it’s faster acting than stereotypical antidepressants and have less side effects. Ketamine acts on a different receptor than SSRIs/MAOIs, so ketamine showing relief in people w/ depression is showing that another neurotransmitter (glutamate) may be the key for depression!

I think the experiment is kind of scuffed when it comes to numbers, because it's Mr Beast's face on the thumbnail, and Mr Beast has shouted it out multiple times on his 15m follower twitter, and Ludwig has been hyping it up. To tell if it would've got views because of Mr Beast's skill or knowledge or whatever is a different story completely. I don't think this video getting views proves much other than that Mr Beast has a big fanbase and some people will watch a video of his on whatever channel if made aware of it.
