100% agreed. It's all in James 1! "12 Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him. 13 When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. 16 Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers and sisters. 17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

I think fear and anxiety comes from the flesh "My peace I give you not like the world give it but thru the holy spirit" isn't what Jesus said after resurrecting. Before Jesus death I think it was different and all this examples you gave are pre to his death after his death a third person came that didn't use to be here, is not from this earth which gives a non earthly peace that overcomes fear and anxiety. Also Jesus only spoke about this peace after his resurrection. this is just what I think rn I'm not saying I'm rigth

My friend uses it a lot, or at least the first part. She and her husband are mostly "Word of Faith" or "Prosperity Christians"...... they're wise in a lot of ways, but there is a lot things they follow and believe that is wrong or not theologically correct.

As long as we are in a body we will have thoughts of uncertainty,...even when we are called to move into a place we have been instructed. So the verse that says this can be taken out of context because many people of God had anxieties and fears when required of God to do things. It is simply a lack of the church using this one scripture as a context.

@@stephenmichaels6682 This verse is presupposing that you believe Jesus to be Lord. This means that you are of the elect and have been given a new heart of flesh. So it works in this context but it certainly doesn't work in the context of those who follow their wicked hearts to do all sorts of wicked things. I implore you not to tell nonbelievers to follow their hearts..

@@noahm44 ,what you just stated ,is this scripture or your opinion of scripture after a Bible study of salvation for those of us today in the church age? Have you added one word that would be your opinion here? This verse if you read it in correct context is speaking of salvation is only obtained by “ Believing “ The Gospel with one’s heart alone for salvation, and is reiterated in Romans 2:16 where our apostle Paul says to those of us in the church age under his ministry of salvation to the Gentiles that we will be judged if we have “ Believed “ his Gospel, The Gospel of Jesus Christ,1 st Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 1-4.You have added to the context of this verse by adding of “ people following their wicked hearts”, when the verse is simply about Believing The Gospel for salvation. That would be leaning to your own understanding and adding to the word of God.

Another example I can give related to this video is the story of Gideon in the book of Judges. I'm reading through it for the first time and all throughout the story, Gideon had fear, even in his obedience to the Lord. He also had questions and asked God to show him a sign/confirmation multiple times. But the fear did not drive him away from the Lord rather it drew him toward God. Despite his fear, he still allowed the Lord to use him therefore defeating the Midianites.

“Feelings cannot tell us if something is from God because feelings are fickle” YES!!!! I loved this video and I’m so thankful you walked through this. Our generation has been influenced by this idea that our emotions should lead us and drive our decisions which couldn’t be more far from truth. God and His word should be the only things that drive our decisions. Thank you for this, Kaci!🤍

Wonderful video Kaci! Having more people to help clarify these kinds of things is essential today. However I have a question specifically related to a new phrase you used that Selena and a few others here seem to like, "Feelings cannot tell us if something is from God because feelings are fickle". I agree feelings can be hard to understand and there are many things around us that can influence our feelings but what has lead you to think feelings cannot ever in any way tell us if something is from God? Especially when you consider Galatians 5:22 where it shows us that we can recognize Godly influence specifically by certain feelings. Please share what you can with me! I love to learn and I love letting people explain their side of the story.

This appeared on my recommended and I’m so glad it did! I walked through a season of doubting my salvation and wondering if Christianity is true. I “felt” like I wasn’t saved all the while trusting in Christ and believing the gospel. I would literally ask myself, “do I FEEL like the Bible is true?” I was searching my feelings for confirmation of whether or not I believed. I often thought, “aren’t I supposed to have constant peace? Other Christians don’t feel this way. I should never doubt my salvation. If I was really saved, God would not allow me to feel this way. “ I was constantly riddled with fear and anxiety and there where moments I thought I would give up and walk away from the faith, accepting my feelings as the truth. Praise the Lord because He always had me in His hands! Through that time He showed me to trust what His Word says above ALL else, because as you mentioned, my feelings are fickle! Our God is so good to leave us His Word to be the foundation of our lives ❤️

Great video! The day I met my husband, I knew in my heart that we would get married. It was what I can only describe as a deep knowing. It totally freaked me out lol. I had never experienced anything like it, and to this day I haven't experienced anything like it since then. But as we started dating, I started doubting that initial feeling I had, and I felt really scared and was filled with anxiety. Over time, I realized that the fear and anxiety I was feeling was because I was scared of getting my heart broken. But at the time, I thought I might be feeling that way because our relationship wasn't God's will. That I was wrong, and we weren't supposed to be together. It was all very confusing at the time. We have now been happily married for 12 years, and there is not a doubt in my mind that we were supposed to get married. But looking back and remembering that confusion and fear I had over our relationship, I can see where that quote could really be damaging. My fear and doubts weren't coming from not being in God's will. They were coming from me trying to avoid the possibility of pain and heartbreak and being scared to trust.

You’re right. It’s not biblical. I’m struggling with anxiety and depression right now. And it is mainly because I am in a foreign country without my family, my significant other and all my friends. I haven’t seen them for almost three years now. I barely have friends where I am. It’s been a very lonely journey so far and I cry almost everyday. Yet, I know that it is God who led me where I am now. I have no doubt about that. Thanks for sharing and pointing that out.

You will be ok trust in the lord maje friends by going to places like church. Liberry walk in parks. With someone from church but always be in gard with people. No matter who or what thay look like or seem. If its possiable get a cat or dog. Look at paul in the bible hé was a bad Guy till GOD Turnned him around. There are many people before us that GOD calls out. God breaks in and god restores as well. And look at Abraham god told him to leave hé didnt gather everyone and Said let's all go and get relatives and familys we are heading out. No it was only abraham to leave everything behind. God is one of the tightess friends and liveing father you Can get. Pray dont give up people and a dog or cat helps. Music of your taste helps. Calm music helps. The lord knows show much you Can handle. Call out the adversary and say to him i am a child of the king lord of lords. Stress and depress has holds on the body. Because our minds are open today Thoughts. And weekends brings in negative thinking. The what ifs or the i dont know or i Can not do this. Im not strong to stand alone im scared. This is how our body and mind are as what os normal. But threw GOD hé helps us to fouce on him. Because in him is supernatural. And we have to set the mind how he thinks and works. His ways are higer than man. He created us in his imige. Your be ok. Call out scriptures out loud at home. Walk the floor pray. Let the adversary know your not in charge of me GOD is. The Devil is the negative guy always will be. He purs Thoughts of dout and negative in us hé os the one who works in as many humans as he can. His job is to get your mind of God. Remember evil is good. And good is evil. Thats how the Devil changes things in life. He Is behind everything pretty much. God bless.

Praying God brings good people into your life, I can relate. There was a time I was so incredibly loney in my neighborhood, I felt the Holy Spirit tell me to make an effort to meet my neighbors. The older gentleman who just moved in across the street from me turned out to be a retired pastor & the most God loving friend I ever knew. He was such an inspiration, his wife was very ill and so he didn't go out much. We'd go to church with him and take him out to lunch and learned so much about his life & I met 2 other wonderful friends as well. I've had to overcome my own anxiety in order to allow people in. My Son 33yr old, moved to the UK almost a year ago, also lives in a place where he knows no one and has social anxiety, it concerns me. I'm asking for prayers & I will be praying for the lonely.

First off I pray that depression and anxiety will leave you in Jesus Name. The Bible says that the Lord is close to the broken-hearted and crushed in spirit. I pray that God will lead you to the right people and deliver you from the wrong people, I pray that your strength will be built up in Jesus Name and you will be reminded of His presence and that His love will quiet your fears. The Lord knows just how you feel and there’s never been a moment where He’s hasn’t been with you. Be weary not in well doing because you will reap a harvest if you don’t give up. All will be well with you friend, my prayers go out to you in Jesus Name, never give up, you are God’s special possession ❤️

This was so timely! I recently made a decision that's been triggering a lot of anxiety. At the time, I felt like I was compromising, but wasn't sure, and I ignored the conviction was because I had no peace. Turns out, I still lacked peace and was just utterly confused about the whole thing. I felt like making a decision based on my anxiety would have been 'allowing the devil to rule me' but that wasn't the case! While listening to this video, I submitted to my initial conviction, despite feeling anxious, and now I feel confident that I made the right choice. What a whirlwind, lol, but God is good! I'm so happy He used you to deliver this message :)

Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. Isaiah 30:21. This is so important and thank you for speaking truth! The problem we see on social media and today‘s churches is that the truth (His Word) gets twisted and misused a lot to fit our own likings. False teachers will say what people would like to hear. And the problem with this phrase is that it is rooted pride and we end up proclaiming our own individual purpose (based on our knowledge, feelings and not biblical) and call it godly or that it came from God.

Kaci, I really needed this video. I feel like it's confirmation. I believe the Lord is calling me back into the work force after 8 yrs of staying at home. I have 5 children,(2 adults and 3 under 10.) I stayed home with them cause I didn't trust childcare. I homeschooled the 3 younger onces because I was scared of public school and the legalist church I went to preached against them. The Lord pressed on my heart to put them in public school and pray for them along with staff and the community. One year later, I believe God wants to rip this idol from me( my home/ my family) to help me build trust in him. I literally have lost my identity in my titles...(mom&wife). So much so, that my joy is wrapped up in them and not in the Lord. In fact, I don't have much joy, I'm pretty irritable and stressed from the demands . I don't fully know who I am in Christ because Once been focusing on molding 5 Jesus followers instead of trusting in God's abilities, I've trusted and relied on my own. Now I feel he wants me to take a job where I have to take the covid vaccine, ( although I'm terrified of it) I won't be making much money, and the hours are trash. Besides all of this, I have God given favor with this company. They are willing to bend when it comes to my children and they pretty much begged me to take the position even though I don't have all of the certifications. It's a great opportunity to work with families in my community and be salt and light. I could also learn alot from working with people and it's an opportunity to trust God with the kidd that he gave me. I give them my answer tomorrow. Please pray for me everyone! The fear, doubt and worry are all present, but I believe this is a kingdom assignment to teach me to Let Go! He is in control!

Oh momma, I can relate so much! But, where I can’t relate is I turned to the Lord to give me joy in what I do! I don’t know you but I’m almost saddened by your comment because I know how easy it is to get lost among your family & I know how that feels; but, on the flip side the Lord calls us to die to ourselves and put the needs of others first. I pray you really think much more about this. The public school system is getting more and more terrible by the moment. You raising little Jesus followers could be wildly undone by the public school system. Also, if you’re fearful of medical procedures being forced upon you that’s something else to seriously think about. I don’t think this girl was speaking to you, mama. I could be wrong but I’m afraid you might be listening to the exact opposite voice of the Lord. I can’t see why He would want you to send your children to modern day Babylon for you to feel better about yourself. So many people of Christ are being called to bring their kids home in these times- not send them to the wolves. Of course, this is only my opinion but I just can’t see Him wanting you to put your feelings over your family in THESE times, especially. There are other ways to get close to Him. You CAN stay home with your children and raise them and you CAN be a wife and close to the Lord at the same time . Just make sure it’s not a feeling of resentment that has you feeling otherwise! Much love to ya!

Respectfully I do believe that the world is getting bad and that is definitely something to ALWAYS bear in mind so that you are instilling your children with the ULTIMATE best - and that ultimate best is JESUS. However, there could be SO MUCH that God wants to do through your children and surrounding them by going to public school. Of course, school to school and country to country will differ but I have met (and I am a testimony) COUNTLESS of people that have come to know the Lord and pretty much all of them went to public school. There is definitely bad but there is also definitely good, so it is truly a matter of what God desires in this. I pray that God will guide you- regardless, He will cause His plan to prevail and that is a wonderful thing to lean on!🙏🏽💜

I agree! I am in a couple of private groups for Christian women in difficult to abusive marriages. Many of these ladies struggle with the idea that one day God will give them 100% peace about leaving their abusive husband. But when you live with an abuser, you never have 100% peace. You fear his next rage at you or your kids. You fear how he will go ballistic when you leave. What will he do? There are real reasons for fear and other unpleasant emotions like grief. Many Christians invalidate and brush off those emotions - or worse, treat them as sin! We need to develop our compassion and emotional empathy. Thank you. Very good video and great scripture examples 💖

9:00 - 11:00 - This is an excellent video! You brought up some great points based on Scripture. What I will say is that if what God says does cause a reaction of confusion and anxiety in us, we may still be able to believe that what He says doesn't have to bring confusion. I believe it does bring purging of our soul of fear and anxiety. I went through an experience similar to yours in the past year and I believe what God does is that he holds up a mirror and shines a light. It's similar to Pharaoh in the Bible. Did God literally "harden Pharaoh's heart" or did God simply reveal how hard Pharoah's heart already was? One of my spiritual mentors used to teach me that you should be careful what you pray for, because God will give it to you. I am one of those crazy Christians who dares to pray for patience and for God to soften my heart and I got a RUN FOR MY MONEY on just how impatient, entitled, and selfish I could be and whether or not I truly am following God because I believe what He says and am in love with Him or just looking for fire insurance. Thanks for this vid! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I’m extremely grateful that I clicked this video because I too have been misled by this popular phrase especially with relationships in the early stage. If I felt uncertain or nervous or anxious I’d have been told that if it’s God’s will it wouldn’t be confusing because God isn’t the author of confusion and imagine throwing away a great relationship because of that person’s terrible advice. But then again it’s becoming too much of a common occurrence for people to take Bible verses out of context to justify themselves. For example people think that Philippians 4:13 and Jeremiah 29:11 means that God will fulfill every materialistic/worldly desire you’ve ever had.

Thank you so much for making this video. listening to you addressing this topic has brought me so much peace. being a first generation Christian I always wondered why God doesn't talk to me the same way he talks to others and why I never have the same amount of peace and confidence in making decisions, it always made me felt like that I am not a good enough Christian and that's why I am unable to connect to God and know his will for my life as I always experienced stress or felt like I couldn't be 100% sure about anything and that made me so frustrated. And listening to you makes so much sense. Thanks a ton!

This was so good, Kaci! I have a blog as well & starting it was so scary, but it was the best decision I’ve ever made. Currently, I’m in the process of restarting my KZbin channel and everything that you just described that you were feeling about starting yours is how I’m feeling now. I definitely agree, God makes it super clear to us what our purpose and calling is, but because we are fallen creatures our thoughts and emotions sometimes get the best of us and that’s what causes us to doubt and have anxiety. I have to remind myself that even when Jesus was riddled with anxiety as he was about to go to the cross, He still reminded Himself that doing the Fathers will was the most important thing & that should be our driving force as followers of Christ; we literally follow His example no matter how hard it is. ♥️😭 Wow, I just had a little moment while typing this. 🥲 Thank you for posting this. 💖

Yes! I totally agree with you can have fear of instructions from God, and you also have to consider the signs, the words, and the scripture God gives to discern what is from him and what is not. Because not every single thing you hear in your head is going to be from God. That’s why we have to learn his voice from how he is in the Bible (Basic .Instructions. Before .Leaving. Earth)

Honestly, I wish more people would talk about how pre-tribulation "rapture" is not biblical. I'm not a regular watcher of this lady's channel (just popped up in algorithm), so I'm not sure what her stance is. It's very disconcerting to me that people are led down the wrong path on that issue. It's a man-made doctrine formulated in the 1800's by John Nelson Darby and the Jesuits. The "rapture" or bodily transformation happens at the LAST trumpet, when the 2nd coming happens (1 Corinthians 15:52) and AFTER the dead in Christ have risen first (1 Thess 4:16, Rev 20:4-5).

Another example would be Sarah, Abraham's wife. She had her doubts, questions, and hesitations when God said she would bear a son. Her doubts were so much so that she had her husband sleep with Hagar. Yet, despite Sarah's doubts, what God had told her was not any less true.

I like your example because it shows (me) how our emotions are really separated and independent from God. And yes He maybe still gives us peace and joy and comfort, but it is so important to know that we have a sinful heart and so to not always try to look at our emotions and thoughts and think they are from God.

Yes i totally believe that. That is why the bible tell us to seek the Lord in everything that we will do, so He can guide us. God speaks to everyone of us differently so that is very important to pray about a specific area we want clarity from God. The bible says our heart is deceitful above all else so feelings can be deceitful, So to be able to identify that God wants me in that area I will also pray that God will show me an open door. Thanks Kaci for this! You’re one of the Christian Vlogger i looked up to as you don’t put God’s word in a box. I am in a very particular situation of identifying if this if from God or not or the enemy is keeping me from it with the use of fear and confusion. The feeling i have on this situation is so good and Godly however since its not happening yet i have fear and confused if this is really from Him. This however led me to trust God more in every area of my life, until God confirmed it at His own timing..♥️

God is not the author of confusion! True…but that doesn’t mean we’re gonna like what he tells us🤍 Gideon was another one who questioned what God said…actually I’d say the majority of people doubted or questioned God when he spoke to them! David was pretty fearless heading to battle Goliath(but God didn’t even have to tell him to go do it he just was fearless and willing) but he was a rare one!!! Seriously great job on breaking this down! May the grace and peace of God be with you in all you do!

Not being a social media guy, I was unfamiliar with this. But I've seen stuff like this, or so-called "inspiring quotations" - often from famous Christians - that I call "Biblical Ebonics." Sounds good on the surface but, as you observed, unBiblical or perhaps Biblical only when qualified. A lot of hymn lyrics or Christian music lyrics is the same and you might want to explore a few "worship choruses" and see what you find.

Exactly!!! That saying is not in the Bible!! I am so glad you’re speaking this truth/ I believe people use this saying when they want what they want and since it makes them feel good, they want to say it’s from God so they can selfishly go for their own selfish desires. It’s more likely when we go AGAINST our flesh that people want to say it’s not from God because again, they want to feel good and want their selfish desires .

Well done! Absolutely correct! The biblical story that came to me immediately was Jonah who clearly knew God was asking him to tell his enemy the Ninevites to repent & be saved. Jonah did not want to save the Ninevites because they were a very wicked people and Jonah wanted God to just get rid of them. So Jonah said no and jumped on a ship in the other direction. But God had His own plan for Jonah. God sent a great storm to Jonah's ship. The shipmates find out the cause of the great storm was because Jonah did not obey God. Jonah is thrown off the ship in the great storm, swallowed by a great whale and lives in the darkness of the whales' body for 3 days. God hears Jonah's prayers to be saved from the whale. So Jonah is vomited out by the whale on the shores of Ninevah. The Ninevites repent completely from the poorest to the King. (I'm sure seeing Jonah coming out alive from a whale was an astonishing vision that displayed the power of God.) I pray always to obey God when He asks me to do something, not to argue with Him, not to refuse, not to present my own plan. This is not confusion from God, it's a sign of me not surrendering to His will & plan for me. But thru Jesus Christ all things are possible and He gives you compassion & boldness to do God's will. Thankyou Heavenly Father and Jesus, Blessed Son of God, for all the time you wait for us to obey your will. What a great God we have!

What and amazing video Kaci! I think that when we learn who God is through the bible; the testimonies of others and what God has done, we also learn to recognize his voice. The more we listen to Him the more we know when he is speaking; feelings come and go; but when we develop a relationship with God we will know when we are moving in his will. Jesus said "my sheep know my voice" (John 10:27-30) even if we have doubts or anxiety. Also, if we give it all to God in prayer, no matter what we are doing we will have peace that surpases all understanding. God doesn't require us to make perfect decisions but to go back to Him in love and to know Him. ♥

When we trust God implicitly, we will follow His Word. When life decisions need to be made, I ask God to close the doors I'm not to walk through and open the door I am supposed to walk through. We should be constantly asking God for guidance, wisdom and knowledge, and we need to be willing to do what He directs. We need to have the kind of faith that when God asks us to step out of the boat, onto the water, we need to do that, fully trusting that He will let us walk on the water with Him.

And to add on again, that confusion can come from out own lack of understanding. The Lord says Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5‭-‬6 our anxieties don't come from God. They come from ourselves but when we have faith and trust in God that's when the Lord can show us His mercy and which path to take. Just like the story about Abraham and Isaac. Yes Issac may have been confused but it was his faith and trust in God that kept his son safe.
