I had tears running down my face on so many occasions the first time I listened to the recitation with translation of Surah Yousuf. It was so emotional and gut-wrenching, with a heart-warming conclusion. It was super awkward since I was trying to work out at the gym at the same time 😅 Alhamdulillah I named my firstborn Yousuf as well

Surah yusuf has so many lessons to learn from. What should a father be to his children, How a son should be to his parents, Conflicts within family, relationship with Allah, Wisdom in the Plan of Allah and so much more. I followed ustadh Nouman Ali khan in his breakdown of this surah. I got to know things that didn't even cross my mind before. The Quran has infinite numbers of wisdom in it, it amazes me and motivates me to look even deeper into the Quran. May Allah guide us all.

So true , it’s actually my favorite surah in the Quran. It was stated in the reason for its revelation: It came down in the year in which sorrows gathered in the heart of the prophet Mohammed- peace be upon him - and the torment of the polytheists intensified for him and his companions, and he had lost Khadija and his uncle Abu Talib, so it came to comfort the heart of Mohammed - pbuh- and to lighten his burden. Once, when I was studying the Quran, my teacher advised us that whenever we’re having a hard time or feeling sad, we should read Surah Yusuf. By the end of the surah, you will feel better .
