The gasket makes more sense inside the box. It matches the insert. If it were mounted on the outside of the box, with all the holes in the outside panel, you may as well use rubber washers. I would buy a few rubber washers anyway, use those outside and the gasket inside.

My first thought was what if a branch wedges on that pull pin while you're going thru trail? Maybe just a little stopper pin cables to the mount installed the pad lock hole just for extra security?

Nice looking rig Can these be mounted vertically? Also, do you know how much they weigh and how much weight they will support. I am trying to mount my diesel heater on a window panel on the back of my forerunner quarter panel window.

We don’t. Sucks. To difficult to manufacture with our style of production. We do things in large scale volume with all of our robotics and stuff and items that are slow and super expensive like those really weigh everything else down. Breaks my heart, but we’re trying to find alternatives to bring them back one day.

Guess could pack the case lip out with some ply, copy that template. Shame though as the cases are designed too stack up really nicely & secure. Suppose if don’t need that doesn’t matter expensive boxes too drill holes in though 😬.

What’s the weight capacity for the roof rack. I’m looking to buy one but I don’t see what the weight capacity is

There’s not an official weight rating, but it mounts the exact same way as most racks out there. You could easily hold a roof top tent up there with someone in it.
