If it’s puppet combo, then they make these games like this on purpose. It’s like satire. They know what they’re doing with the troupes and they write a lot of ridiculous dialogue on purpose. They even made a game with a KZbinr named KubzScouts (who plays their games a lot) and the game was about a monster eating ass or something idk lol but they do actually put work in and like to make those typical kinds of horror games with their own twist or sense of style into it.

reminds me of the first silent hill game or 4: the room, down to the camera angle and "cuts" between rooms. Also audio design, presentation of picking up items, static screen as you reach more "haunted" parts, character/enemy movement etc. It HAS to be heavily inspired at least. The intro actually interested me lol so I went to his vods to figure out what happened after he closed the door. The door is locked quietly and the kid looks up for a sec out the window but goes back to working. Then it fades to black and then the kid finishes hammering in whatever he's doing and stands up and now it's nighttime. Then the gameplay starts. I don't know what I expected tbh.
