It is very interesting to see you pull up the line. I also fish for halibut with clip line here in northern Norway. But one thing strikes me when I look at you. There are no birds around the boat. Here there are large numbers of seagulls both when we set and when we pull the line.

Winner winner halibut dinner 😅. How about those halibut cheeks yum.😊 That's why they call it fishing not catching. You guys did catch some nice ones though for a stinker set. That's what they call those cod knots. We used a lot of swivels for our cod jig rigs.😊
@EISAlaska
@EISAlaska Ай бұрын
Haha, right! The cod do their crocodile roll and twist the heck out of the gangions. If you have a little ring with a swivel attached to something solid, you can stick the hook on it and pull, twists right out.

How would I get fresh Halibut for where you are to Lakeland, Fl???????
@EISAlaska
@EISAlaska Ай бұрын
Hello! We dont sell fresh in the sense of it being right off the boat, however we do sell frozen 1lb portions which is really just as good. You can check out our website eisalaska.com. The shipping is automatically calculated, so thats the easiest way to find out. we currently have pre-orders open for halibut share boxes. We’ll be fulfilling in November.

How often do you sharpen your hooks? Nice big one among them, good luck with your next string.
@EISAlaska
@EISAlaska Ай бұрын
If we take care of them well in the off season, (cover, oil, keep dry) they stay very sharp for a long time, so unless they have busted tips, we dont sharpen often.
