Tarkov is just a brick of a game. Even with a high end system you encounter stutters. It's just poorly optimized. Playing it offline shows what causes those stutters - it's things loading into the map, like loot, scavs or players. Somehow any other game doesn't struggle with those issues. The root cause (my subjective opinion here) is simply bad programming of the game, where megabytes(!) of data is loaded into the raid, like all player stats, what quests are active, etc., which isn't even relevant for the raids. This information can be extracted (network sniffer) and cheaters are able to know where you are moving around on the map, what ammo is loaded into your gun, what guns you have, even what is stored inside your safe container, what quests you're doing, etc. - my point is that this game could never come out of beta in this bad condition. It has a lot of potential, but it's buried alive, since developing it all new would reset most of the games progress from the last couple of years. Btw on the BSG forum you are banned or muted for weeks/months if you speak out criticism.

I see lots of people saying this shouldn't help, but I was having terrible stutters on LH and even other maps when I had long sight lines (new since 12.12, wasn't happening before), especially if I was running scopes. I did what he said and I was able to run LH 3-4 times yesterday without one stutter, sniping rogues from way out. Literally the exact same run was basically unplayable a week ago (kit, gun, optic, location, tactics). I have a decent intel processor, 1660TI, and 32gb RAM so I shouldn't have been having the issues in the first place, but this def seems to have helped somehow.

I thought the fps drop was due to the “picture in picture” style of scoped aiming.
@The7Adelies2 жыл бұрын
This is correct. PiP is visually more realistic, yet always more performance intensive. Creating a scan exception for Defender will have absolutely no bearing on FPS unless perhaps you were running your scans WHILE playing the game. In any case, there is no direct relationship between creating a scan exception and something as specific as scoped-FPS, and I would challenge anyone to provide evidence of such. This video is misleading and borderline clickbait.
@VoXEonYT2 жыл бұрын
That doesn't help the case of frame drops at all. I meant to phrase this as Windows defender can scan whenever it wants and takes up resources doing so. This is especially bad in the case of people who have tarkov on a HDD. That and everyday anti-virus scans can add load to the PC especially when scoping on lower end systems. I make a video of how to fix this & make it to the point with no ads & I get called 'clickbait'. Don't care if you do this or not. But this may be a huge help for someone out there & that's okay.

Hey i wanna share my fix to eliminate FPS drops when aiming with medium-long range scopes. I have a nvidia card and a freesync monitor which usually works with gsync+vsync for smooth frames. However, EFT doublerenders according to people with more knowledge than myself, and my frames was instantly capped to 37 (half refreshrate of my 74.XXX hz monitor) every time i scoped, my max fps was set at 71, but my fps still was capped at half refreshrate, not FPS limit. I knew it wasnt hardware related when people are having same issues with 30-series. Ive forced v-sync to off in NVCPL now and im trying out scanlinesync with RTSS, no FPS drops so far when using scopes, even on woods and shoreline. Sorry for long comment but i was struggling for so long and now it finally runs like butter again!:)
@EricTheBroBean2 жыл бұрын
In short, i think v-sync (even with g-sync or freesync) fails to allocate resources because v-sync simply doesnt support quadruple buffering. I just made that up btw but quadruple buffering just sounds right!
@basementmicrowave39892 жыл бұрын
Could you explain the solution a little more I don't get it lol
@EricTheBroBean2 жыл бұрын
@@basementmicrowave3989 Sorry for late reply. My setup is a bit different now, i have a new monitor, cpu and gpu. But the solution is still the same; V-Sync off in Nvidia control panel should help against framerate being capped to half the refresh rate of your monitor. EFT seems to doublerender whenever using long range scopes, and if V-Sync is turned on, it gives you half refresh rate outside your scope, and half refresh rate inside the scope. In short: turn V-Sync OFF in Nvidia control panel, and OFF ingame too. It still doublerenders, but it doesnt cap your frames at half refresh rate.

Apologies for the necro, but, you're right- it's just called picture in picture. All magnified optics in tarkov render PiP I believe, which is effectively rendering the same scene twice. So, you're not wrong, but you're not using the right name for it ^^

This seems really misleading. There's no explanation given as to how whitelisting these folders in your firewall specifically will help with scoped FPS which your thumbnail shows and you mention in the video, and as other people pointed out, there's no logical direct connection between the two. Then Vox seems to hand wave it away as something good to do in general and how it could possibly help low end systems. I hope this doesn't get some snarky response or dismissed because it's legitimate criticism. I've been a subscriber for a long time and I think this is indicative of this channel's content quality decreasing. I didn't comment about it before but I've been noticing it for awhile now. On the "Make Millions in Tarkov - Lighthouse Loot Guide" video, there's a walkthrough of the map with entire large sections completely skipped over. In the video, you say things like "there's loot over there but we're not going to go over it in this video." Why? Why not go over the loot across the whole map in your "LOOT GUIDE"? It seems lazy. Viewers come specifically to those videos to learn the loot on the map, and you basically only showed them a small section of it. On the Meta 7.62 Lowest Recoil video a couple weeks ago, you didn't even shoot the thing in the firing range. When that was pointed out, you dismissed it as there being no point in showing it because everyone has different stats. This is a blatant cop out and makes no sense, and I think you know it because you did go and show some firing range the 5.45 AK video. If "everyone has different stats" is an acceptable reason for not showing that recoil, then why show footage during your FPS and performance increase videos - everyone has different rigs, so it shouldn't matter right? Why not just accept the criticism on the first video and say that you forgot and you'd include it in the next one? This will probably be dismissed, ignored, or given some sarcastic comment about being too long or nitpicking or hate engagement or whatever and that's fine, but IMO the quality here has been falling and it's not looking like that's changing much, and more worryingly, Vox seems to be showing that he's not interested in legitimate criticism that could improve his videos.
@VoXEonYT2 жыл бұрын
You don’t understand the hours I put into Tarkov and these videos or the things going on in my life. I do this alone and the effort for my videos drop when my interest drops in the game in general. I focus on live-streaming and the energy and great community there. Forgive me for not being excited to get shit on for every decision I make in a video. If I decide I want to cut a section out I CAN and WILL for time or for any reason. It’s not laziness but the direction I take. For some gun build videos I do the recoil for others I don't it's my choice in if I think the video is too long or it's not relevant enough with the multiple skills (recoil, mastery & recoil) or simply the ammo and how that changes it? As for the loot guide go watch someone else’s loot guide. Legitimately don’t care if you do because I create the content I want to make that’s why I started this in the first place. If I think an area is not worth the time in the video go find someone who thinks it is & watch that if you have to know? Or maybe just go play the map and learn for yourself? I can take criticism but at this point this isn't critical. I am aware of the state of my channel but if you want to live and maintain a guide channel for tarkov in which for 4 years every decision you make is somehow the wrong one then go ahead. This is why I'm burnt out.

Click the unsubscribe? I'd rather the people who want to be here be here then the ones who feel compelled to. I take onboard crticism but that doesn't change my outlook on how I create videos. Being told my loot guide is invalid because I skipped some pretty useless areas isn't criticism it's just nitpicking. If it makes me an 'asshole' for replying to constant criticism then so be it, doesn't mean I don't take some of it onboard when it's valid. I changed the thumbnail because people complained but being painted in the image that I'm here to 'steal views' is straight untrue. Why would I care how this video performs when I don't even run ads. I wasn't even gonna make this video public as it was made for a command in my twitch chat. I thought 'someone with a low end system might find this useful' So i made a thumbnail and released it while I work on time consuming projects. Then instantly met with ignorance & waves of negativity. Unsub mate If this video triggers you this much then I don't want you here.
