When you learn how to evade projectiles, parrying, combat variation. The game becomes hella fun and also a challenge. I can't wait for the future of it. It has so much potential if they do the new characters justice like the first 6
@juanpedro_mov73724 жыл бұрын
@Naquin Green First of all I'm not a fan of Online/Live service games. I've never played fortnite or Apex or Overwatch. The only online games I have played are 2 (ok maybe more than 2 but when I say play I mean playing for years) and those are GTA Online which btw is definitely a game I come back on whenever I feel like just messing around with it and the other was a mobile game of Marvel named Marvel Contest of champions and that game I left it for the sole reason because the astounding amount of time I spent on it. It is so fun but so much time consuming same with GTA Online I left it because I wanted to get everything and grinding while being fun it was so much time wasted. That's the reason why I don't like Online games. I just spend so much time on them and doesn't let me do other things I like or play other singleplayer games. I actually prefer singleplayer over online. I'd rather play a fully fletched, well done narrative than an Online game that never ends which is the reason I love this game. Now I know is not a masterpiece of a story but it was great, fun and interesting to see what will happen in the future because this is definitely not the last of the story. That's where my next point comes. The story is continuing in the future with each new character, all of them are gong to be an add on, FREE add on to the story and that's what convinced me. I definitely wanted this game to be an open world game like spiderman but with 6 characters instead, I actually said to myself I was going to play the singleplayer only but after realizing that the game is mostly multiplayer I tried it out and I loved it! So much so I think this is going to be my 3rd online game I'm gonna be playing for years to come if the future holds great things. I gotta say the thing that made me invested on the online aspect was that every new mission and character is going to be free. Then I was disappointed because of the "Battle pass" cards of each new character needed to be bought. Not much longer after that I realized you could buy them from credits you get by playing the game which btw I already have enough credits to buy 4 new battle pass from a character and the fact that I will get the units back makes me even more excited. The cosmetics are not a problem for me because I've never spend money for any game unless is a true DLC, I didn't spend any money on GTA online or MCoC on the years I played them and quite frankly I'm not going to do it on this one either, the game already has so many different costumes for each character so that's enough for me. I really want to see what the next character will turn out to be. I'm waiting for Kate bishop wich is coming later next month to see how the "new character system" works. I want to see how unique they are, how many costumes outside of the marketplace are going to be available and how much length is the new sets of missions also how unique environmentally speaking are. That's what's going to set foot on my continued playtime on this game. I hope I won't be disappointed. Overall the story could be better I totally agree with you, it was so short! It was a satisfying ending but felt it needed more character development and interactions however if the upcoming missions from each DLC will add to it then that just mean it will only get better. I love, no really I love the gameplay. The gameplay feels a little to not repetitive at all. The combos you can do, the powers you have, the uniqueness of each character, the different set of skills, the gear perks. I just love it. I can honestly say this is my dream come true regarding combat excluding gear, that's an extra. If they continue adding new and uniquely combat based characters I'm all in. I can't wait for Kate bishop and Hawkeye. I've been playing for almost a month since the early release because I got the Deluxe edition for it and I can confirm it has been a really entertaining experience. My favorite is Cap and it's great because he is my favorite avenger! No, I don't know much about SE. I've only played Sleeping dogs (Awesome game btw), Tomb Raider and Just Cause so yeah only single player games. I hope they don't abandon this game at least not until they release Blade, my favorite marvel character lol but yeah it is all up to them. They need to make us keep coming to it and release new content worth playing also fix a lot of bugs which is worth mentioning they have already fixed a great amount of them. This game has potential I feel it.
@juanpedro_mov73724 жыл бұрын
Naquin Green It's free to some extent. The content, mission, characters, locations are all free. Cosmetics, some are, some are not. They are also expensive I mean $14 for a flashy takedown. As I said the challenge cards can be completed by achieving daily and weekly challenges with each character. I have 60+% on each character's cards so I'm almost done with them. Those contain costumes, emotes and nameplates also a takedown and all other resources and loot. I like the incentive of playing each day to complete those challenges and also upgrading your character. It is free to play because you can have fun and improve your character without spending a single cent.
@juanpedro_mov73724 жыл бұрын
Naquin Green it's going to be more than 6 characters more. I believe they are going to release a new character with their own set of missions each month! Kate Bishop is coming October, Hawkeye is coming on November, there's rumors War Machine or Black Panther are coming on December. January and February could be any of the leaks and on March we'll get Spiderman us PS4 and PS5 players too. I really hope Spiderman will only be time exclusive tbh. As you can see we'll get more than 6 more characters. That's why I can't wait for the future DLC. It's like a mobile game with each month adding a new character but better because each character will have different costumes, takedowns, combat abilities, skill tree and even so personality and character development and they are free and won't have to grind or buy them. No you just have to log in the day it gets released and boom you can play with him or her. Although is funny because everyone is going to be using the new character and while playing Co-op you can't use the same character so I guess I'm gonna play solo most of the time at the first few days lol I really hope you enjoyed the game and the story eventually. Cheers bro

I really think Avengers was an impossible task since the capabilities off Hulk to Black Widow to Iron Man are so varied, it's impossible to make a single gameplay experience that is tuned to all of them. Batman and Spiderman have the advantage of only trying to capture the feeling of a single character, and they can craft the mechanics around that. In Avengers, that's impossible, so it was bound to feel a bit generic no matter what. This game isn't great, but I really fail to see how it could've been close to Spiderman or Batman even in ideal circumstances.

I think there's a world in which live service could've been good as well. I've played more games like League, R6, MHW, Fall BOIS, etc. in the last few years than even some games I would consider to be my favorites of all time like the Dark Souls games. There's a world in which Avengers was akin to Monster Hunter World, a game with massive free updates post launch, epic loot to grind, an extremely fun and rewarding endgame, and maybe eventually a huge paid DLC. Hell, the Avengers already have move sets, if they were spruced up and a bit more interesting they could've been like MHW's weapons with deep mastery for players who want to be a main of one weapon or wildly varying moves for players who want the best tool for any situation (Looking at my fellow Insect Glaive + Hunting Horn + Gunlance mains out there). Live service isn't necessarily bad, it just seems like Square Enix didn't want to justify polishing the game up like 30% more over another year or two rather than releasing the game for all the money in the world now. And the microtransactions are obviously atrocious, this coming from someone who has spent thousands on League.

Naalith From a long time MH fan, that’s the difference between MH and something like this.... monster hunter games are released complete, you get a 100% full product at launch. Before world, most of the games didn’t even get any big updates, only some extra weapons and MAYBE a couple monster variants. That’s why I don’t even consider MHW a live service, because it never really needed fixing or adding to, and capcom only put it’s hand out for more money like.... once?

The more people tries to take a slice of the pie, the less they can get from it while the big names take the majority of the profit. 19:43 "It's copied Destiny so effectively it will likely hold an appeal to that crowd" statements that aged poorly for 500. And the reason it aged poorly is simple: People who like games like destiny already have a game to play; it's called Destiny. "Live Services" are not the same as real games, they demand an immense time commitment and rely on investment both emotional and financial. If you like Dark Souls you'll eventually probably try Bloodborne, but the reason is because you WILL eventually be done with Dark Souls because it has an end, it has a point where you're inteneded to move on. It has New Game Plus to an insane degree but it is not designed so that the player is EXPECTED to play NG+, it's not designed for it to be played ad infinitum. It's got an actual end and leaves it up to the player when they want to stop after beating it. "Live Services" are not like this because they are designed to perpetually make money and for that to happen need people to play in perpetuity. This is not an inherently bad thing; Monster Hunter World is such a game but it also has an "end" and is less focused on keeping people "engaged" than it is on simply providing more content for players to come back to as they choose with how frequent seasonal events each bring back almost all if not every single past event quest, meaning players don't feel pressured to obsess over the game due to FOMO on said continuously added quests. Meanwhile compare to something like Warframe with Daily Standing caps, the Nightwave Battle Passes, special missions on rotation every few hours, daily logins with specific rewards at milestones such as 100, 300, etc, Relic Vaulting and Un-Vaulting,, timed boosters that follow real time regardless of whether you're logging in, etc. There are so many reasons to feel the need to check in and make some form of progress several times a week if not every day until it's part of your life's routine, and Warframe is if anything one of the more LENIENT examples compared to the likes of Destiny and it's copiers. In short: Multiple "Live Services" isn't feasible, and subsequently copying another live service to a T is absolutely not feasible, because anyone who actually dedicates themselves to such games simply won't have enough hours in the day to play multiple of them.

Microtransactions are ruining our games in the modern age, I absolutely despise them and will NEVER spend real money on any game no matter how good it is. I’ll buy a game, and if I like the game I will buy the DLC, and that’s it! Spending £15 on ugly skins is something I will never do. These companies make millions and millions yet they still demand more money from consumers. Without trying to contradict myself, If these companies were to sell skins for let’s say, 69p or 99p, then that may well be viable. People maybe wouldn’t mind paying that much for skins to enhance their experiences, and these companies would attract more people into buying these skins whilst still making millions.

Another thing to add about the single player respawns is they don't refresh whenever you reach a checkpoint. So you could die twice early on in a mission, and then make it to the final part only to die once and have to restart the entire section over again. If you're doing single player and you've already been downed, I recommend reloading your checkpoint whenever you reach another section of the mission so that way your respawns refresh.

The characters Are mostly fun to play with. Cap and Black Widow were my personal favorites but Thor and Iron man are also fun. Didn’t care for hulk. But the characters aren’t the problem. What bothers me more than the cosmetic outfit microtransactions(mtx), which definitely are abhorrent, is the normalization of making takedowns a cosmetic mtx. These are an action I trigger, that I can essentially make into cinematic combo finisher. Yet some of the most cinematic takedowns cost 12 dollars a piece in a game and have been in the game since launch. If I worked for Warner Brother or NetherRealm I would be licking my chops, seeing all the people okay with paying for takedowns, I would put X-Rays behind a paywall and even the fatalities. Soon I would start locking other combos behind paywalls because really it is just a cosmetic, the gamer can still do the same damage with the few combos they have already been given.

This enough to purchase 6 of the 12 total takedowns in the marketplace. The remaining 6 takedowns can only be obtained by purchasing credits with real money. That purchase would cost you 60-70 dollars depending on how you purchase the credit packs. I also never implied I HAVE to have takedowns, however, it would be nice if they were included with my purchase to help break the monotony of the combat.
