the fact that ghost olivia destroyed shirl's house to send the message that there is only one forever house, which is hill house, is so amazing. i didn't get that until i rewatched it again and it's great that you noticed this, too. it's these little details that makes this show a masterpiece for me. great reaction again, can't wait to watch the next!

Just a reminder about Nell’s one-word messages to Luke. Remember, in Ep4 (Luke’s), when she appears at the foot of his bunk bed, she said “Go!” Now, at the gravesite, she says “Don’t!” Remember these moments when you watch the finale (Ep 10), it’ll blow your writer’s mind! 😎

They don't say it outright, but based on what they have said I believe Janet sued for custody of the children after Olivia "died" and won. Hugh looked like a lunatic when he initially said "the house killed her" (which the tabloids put on blast). Plus he wouldn't give an explanation of the 3hrs between when he found her body and contacted the police. Then there's the issue of not getting Liv "help" which might have prevented the whole tragedy. In the eyes of other family members and the family court system he might have been deemed unfit to raise his children. We still don't know what he knows about that night and he's not talking. That might be why he avoids his children? They want information and he may dread having to come up with non - answers to their inevitable questions about their mother that they rightly have. I'm not saying he's handling it correctly. Just what I think is going on in his head. Happy Birthday and get well soon!

First of all, a good ol’ southern, “Bless Your Heart!” I know what it’s like to have jobs come up and then get sick. Try Luden’s cough drops, they taste great. So, great I used to eat them like candy. Second, one of the best things about this episode was Mr. Dudley’s monologue. Full story structure and perfectly delivered. I may use it for my next audition! Third, you didn’t hear Nell’s warning at the grave side before ‘Liv grabbed him. She had given the same warning to him previously when he was in rehab and he woke up when Nell died. Fourth, the ghost at the end was ‘Liv and she’s the one that broke the forever house model. To Theo, it was finally proof that there are ghosts because she and her Dad saw it together. She popped out of her logical mind and finally saw things as they are. I would love to see your reaction to the making of episode 6, but it will have to wait. Unfortunately, I don’t have the funds to be a patron right now but when I do, my name will be Watson! 🙃

@17:19 Absolutely on Theo’s side here; she hates people crossing the boundaries she sets. She makes that clear. Yet this woman keeps doing it. (I actually don’t like the end result of their relationship because of how this moment played out.) For her to reach out to Theo privately would be one thing, but to show up is quite another. @17:54 Less due a parent’s senses, & more because those of us that were Queer kids said/did a *lot* of things we didn’t realise were not ‘normal’ by heteronormative standards until we were old enough to understand societal expectations.

Thank you! All reactors act like Theo is being so unreasonable here. She hooked up with this woman twice, which were both pretty clear booty calls. It was completely inappropriate and weird for her to show up to her sisters funeral.

If youre taking cough drops that have menthol in them, just be careful how many you take. I got really sick once and found out the hard way that too much menthol in a short period of time leads to a lot of throwing up 🥴

27:37 heh in my culture it’s very weird to eat at a funeral. Maybe the fancier funeral homes will offer you some snacks but that’s all. It’d be strange for us to eat a full meal while there’s a dead person in the other room
