Kind of, actually. Not really "immune" but more like "heavily resistant." Dedede's big thing was his chain grabs but his chain grabs only worked on characters with certain properties. Some characters were too light or had too much gravity for it to work on (they'd splat on the ground rather than slide away thus preventing a regrab), and some characters had low enough friction they'd simply slide too far away. It all depended on the particular physics of the character being thrown. Some of those characters who slid too far away COULD be regrabbed, but Dedede would have to actually do a Dash Grab to catch them due to how far away they slid and this drastically cut down how many times Dedede could actually throw since now that they had to sprint forward between each grab they'd run out of stage after only a few grabs. So rather than an instant touch of death it was more like just a guaranteed 30%-40% and that was it. This was the category Ness and Lucas fell into, meaning they weren't as susceptible to Dedede's tricks. Mind it still wasn't great because them being dragged across the stage also meant that once the chain grab was over they were also guaranteed to be in an edgeguarding situation against a character pretty darn good at edgeguarding, but that's still better than it being a Touch of Death.

So, there is a reason why Sheik Ganon was such a bad matchup, and it was because Ganon was literally unable to approach through Sheik's old SideB Chain while she was under a platform. The move was simply too large, and was also transcendent, and it prevented quite literally all of his frontal approaches from working, even if he came in from behind where Chain loses a bit of range. His only real way to fight against it was to come in from above with an aerial (usually Dair), but if there was a platform in the way there was quite literally no reliable way for him to set that up properly. With this in mind, it gave Sheik a very mindless wincon via timeout if she ever got the lead.

Hey Coney! Judo here on my silly mobile screen name. Ftilt has percent windows starting at like 25 unstale. But it does true combo into usmash when started at the correct time. Also Ganon literally cant hit Sheik with her chain out under a platform. And needles are hard for him to deal with. Also ftilt to fair hits him at angles he can't recover from. Might not be the worst matchup but its really really bad.

If you buffer the ftilt, sheik can start it as low as 8% on fox (and falco), leading to touch of deaths off of a single falling aerial or an utilt at 0%. It's really broken once it connects, but at least it loses to shield...

I had this playing while playing while laying in bed. I fell asleep and Coney was in my dream. While on a field trip in the dream, i told him that Brawlternativ put out a new video about the 60:40 ditto. He acted like he didnt hear me, and proceeded to work on the video as if he just saw the video in his subscriptions. I proceeded to look up a video I had seen with the worst fighting game matchups overall I had seen. The video was from Hold Back to Block, and I was thinking of Iori vs Chin. so for Coney and anyone else, Air Friction is just ground friction but for the air so it's the parameter that controls how long it takes to come to 0 horizontal velocity in the air. Air Mobility/Acceleration describes how much input affects your velocity in the air

Nah, At least Ganon has some tools in this matchup. He did have Dair and he could utilize flight of Ganon. Marth was so custom built to invalidate Ness’s kit that Ness loses even if he tried to play around Marth’s Grab.
