Man, what an emotional and heavy song! 😢What I heard was despair over a life filled with bad beginnings, some bad choices and emotional pain but that change is possible and necessary. May I suggest "Broken Window Serenade" by Whiskey Myers (album version). Its not as deep as this song, but a great story song with a sad plot that many small town people have experienced.
