Julius has it in the crosshairs and nailed it. Sure we have to play the game, but it's not about making it easier, which is all about compromising your own values and sacrificing a part of yourself. Sure it's harder, but it's necessary and the more of us who do so, the bigger a difference we can collectively make. That is so true. I'm retired now, but I worked for 22 years as a MFT in the Psych Emergency and later in the ER. Before that 10 years in the army and another 10 years in Tech. Never was I so gratified working as a MFT, the flipside, never was I so appalled at the decline of mental health services and the carousel it had become. Hip Hop lost its way back in the 1990s when it became corporatized (See Knox Hill's Fentanyl - first verse) when it became about the bling, the money and the murder. Conscious rap is sorely missed. I'm glad that Ren is bringing it back with rebels like Knox Hill, Chris Webby and NF. Playing the Money Game is the route to a dead heart/mind. Julius, so glad you are on that journey too. Ren was so effed over by the greedy big pharma and doctors that he had to deal with, with his Lyme disease. He was sick, and his sister is everything to Ren. Especially going through the pain and psychosis his illness gave him. Ren is an amazing artist. I didn't love Rap until Ren. His lyricism is amazing! I love your guests views, he's amazing. He wanted to get this out for his sisters birthday last month but he collapsed and went blind for a couple of days pushing too hard :( This song makes me cry every time at the sister part. So many feels. The producer of this one was also ripped off by KujoBeats. They considered doing Beat Down together but Ren wanted to do that one himself so they're 50/50 on this one.

All the symbolizm and Easter eggs, and it's all intentional. Money ties/ monitize connection is spot on, great catch. So many layers to everything he does from the story, wordplay and writing, production ( he also mixes all his music and makes most of his beats and produces his videos). Many videos are 1 takes with him his guitar usually and his camera man Sam. He does so much with so little in his own unique way, while also blending genres and doing it all basically. Including acting while playing and using his instruments as props with and musically setting the scene, specially in intros, jumping from multiple characters and narrator. It's crazy the layers of talent with this dude so ik excited to see your journey into the Ren rabbit hole.
