Well, I'm aware how hackneyed sounds, but there's a lot of truth to this - we all have talents which are unique to us and we ought to not to base our lives around what others have. While a bit of moderate jealousy can motivate us to get better and expand our portfolio of acheivements, we need to keep our envy in check and value ourselves for our own successes. Many girls, like me, get jealous of the models we see in magazines (again, this sounds cliché, but it's pretty true - just take a look at any colourful magazine you see in the press stand or your local beauty supply shop and tell me, what's the first thing you notice on the cover alone).

Come on, it’s not like getting married is required by law; I just don’t know how to make small talk to get together with a girl. Living life is doing what gives to meaning and gratification. Companionship is just a factor of that happiness; it’s not complete happiness.

I think Plankton is the perfect representation of envy. Being the rival to Mr. Krabs to the point where he has to go out of his way to steal Mr. Krabs' success, literally. But I feel bad for him because of how much he humiliates himself for a simple burger recipe. I always thought to myself "Why doesn’t he try something new for once to make money and validation?" But he can't because he has a part to play in the whole SpongeBob canon.

There's an episode where Plankton converts the Chum Bucket to a "knick-knack" shop, and it's implied to be decently successful. Then Plankton and Mr. Krabs become friends, and Krabs eventually gives him the formula out of respect. But then Plankton runs home with it cheering about how he finally won, and how the entire thing was a ploy to get the formula. Of course, the paper Krabs gave him wasn't actually the formula, but that's beside the point. Plankton does do something different to find his own success, but he throws it all away because of his obsession with getting the formula.

He acts like this one bit of success for Plankton is going to bring and end to his! Actually, I wouldn't mind that, if SpongeBob wasn't supportive of Krabs. If he was just forcing patties down the guys throat because of boss's orders. The SpongeBob I know sees good in Plankton, and if anything seems more disappointed in Plankton for being the way he is. I was a former envious artist who wants to start my very own series, as when I start my own journey. I got criticized and bullied due to my poor drawing skills and envious nature, as time go by, I always see some people who have better skills, reputations, and support than me, and I grew more envious than before which led me to a way worse reputation my artist career. That I took a break from animating and art to improve myself. We all have that green-eyed monster who wraps around our neck and choke us to prevent us from screaming for help. But that's okay, Envy can be a motivation but not too much, we should stick with more positive envy instead of negative envy. Focus on your friends, family, and fans who support you instead of them. BIG WARNING FOR ANYONE WHO WATCHES: People often confuse Envy with Jealousy and even use them interchangeably, but they're really very different words. "Envy" has more to do with wanting and desiring to have what's NOT yours. "Jealously" has more to do with wanting and desiring to protect what IS yours. Therefore, Jealousy (when used in the right way) has the potential to be good, and the statement of this video's title is only 50% right. A parent can be jealous of their child, a lover can be jealous of their spouse, and a gamer can be jealous of their favorite game. Great Video Made2Epress!!!😅❤👍😊 But please, get the definitions straight next time.😁👌 Thanks For Reading if you did.

iirc 'Jealousy' refers to a feeling of insecurity in keeping things you already have. like, the feeling that someone will take something from you by virtue of being perceived as better. its a sense of being made insecure by another person's success but envy is the Desire for another's success. at least thats how i understand it

I am currently facing this problem in my life and it's very difficult for me to just "forget" about it. To see your friends be more successful than you just hurts, deep down I know they're not in the wrong but it feels infuriating to see them enjoy life, get tons of academic achievements, travel overseas and spend lavishly on things and when I compare them to me, I feel like I'm nothing. It's even worse when some of them are of the same age or younger. If I were to wait for god's plan, when would it happen? Because right now, I don't see any hope or future where I would enjoy life, and it is better to just end it here.

I get that, and it's not something I want to dwell on, but I can't help myself but to think about it anyways. For me, though, it's not just how successful my friend is, but also that because of his lifestyle, I don't get to see him often, and I tend to feel like when I ask him to get together to hang out, I more often than not get told something to the effect of, " sorry, but I can't because I have this, that is some other thing going on right now". And maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but he's one of my oldest friends and I'm 34 right now and I haven't even gone on a date myself due in part to my own personal problems, and I don't have very many other friends, either; so knowing that I can't get together to spend time with him, sometimes waiting for over a month, it just hurts, and when I talk with my mother about it, I'll just be told that I'm not his number one priority, and while I don't expect to be, it would still be nice to get to spend time with him more often than I have been

Wow. You're 23. I'm 29. I didn't have a relationship until I was 18. You want to know how that went? They were all long distance relationships with little intimacy. One was in an online game, one was from a different countries on Skype. Another from a different state I met on Facebook. My first was a friend from high school that I didn't see again for a whole 3 years, and they had already been through college by the time we reunited. They were younger than me and already academically ahead of me. We drifted apart majorly, because she was super into politics. I've dated guys, and girls. I've never had a solid relationship that wasn't long distance, or lasted longer than a week. They say you miss the shots you never take, but when you miss all the shots you do take, it occurs to you that maybe Basketball ain't your sport. A lot of my relationships ended up abusive or one-sided. A waste of time at best, and a major setback of trauma and doubt at worse. Hell, I've even been the manipulator. It didn't last long. I didn't enjoy it. I'm not good at it. Never was really good at basketball either... Anyhow, I've never been really jealous of anyone. I've always admired, and even aspired to those who have awesome relationships. Even ones that don't last. I vicariously enjoy these relationships. I wouldn't mind just being with someone nice for a few months, just to know how it feels, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon, which is a shame, since I'm almost 30. Not sure how much time I got. For now, at least, I think I'm good, but I am lonely. I'm lonely...but lonely isn't something you fix with just anybody. It really isn't worth forcing it. Just be patient. Be happy. Someday I'll find someone who shares my sentiments. Until then, it's lonelier with someone who doesn't than it is by myself. Might need therapy before I get on the saddle again. Wouldn't want to end up like my family members in abusive relationships.

Same age as you only ever had 1 gf in my life in high school. A bad relationship breakup can really ruin you for months if you let it. Video and episode hold true

You know, if you did decide to cut off your legs for all that money, you could use some of that to buy mechanical legs to replace them. It be a win win. Brand new hightech legs and a crap ton of money at your desposal.

This video also shows why Mr. Krabs is the way he is. Good job! Also, once you’re in a relationship you will see that it’s really no big deal and not worth stressing over. And if it’s a unhealthy one, it’s just better to be alone. By the way, what’s the song at the end? Another great video M2E!
