ELC bis is one of those tanks that is just implemented wrong with how the snail handles things. The whole point of the ELC bis irl was to be a scout tank - take note anton - that was cheap to make with a good gun. Of course there were numerous design flaw but the way that it performs in game is not how it would in real life. The gun bouncing is something which was not present either on most french tanks. Don't know why it is in War thunder.

Okay, I read up on this thing, and WT's implementation is awful. It has crew replenishment. What? It doesn't have scouting, but was a scout tank. It can't rorate the turret when stationary, which was possible.

The ELC Bis is a light tank that was made to be air dropped or air lifted if I remember correctly which I may not. It was meant to give the troops on the ground a way of destroying armored vehicles with its 90mm cannon, it also acted as a scout vehicle. Now as for the turret issue, it could in fact turn 360 degrees when it wasn't moving. This is do to the driver being partially in the hull to drive the tank and so the turret rotation way limited when the tank was moving do to the driver being both in the hull and the turret of the tank. So in that regard it is right and wrong at the same time, when immobile the tank should be able to rotate its turret but when driving it should be limited and it should have scouting.

​@Orinslayer that's true, but for a game like war thunder to not give this tank scouting makes this tank worse then it should be and they could make so you could rotate the whole turret by making it act like the Strv 103. You stop and activate something that makes your driver move, then you can move your turret fully, then if you want to move then point your gun to the front and deactivate the thing and you can drive. That would make this tank more unique and better but at the very least it should have scouting.

And remember to bush up your ELC BIS so you can be extra annoying and get people to hate on you in chat! lol The only thing I dislike about this vehicle (aside from the fact it should get light tank abilities like scouting and artillery), is that it only has HEATFS. So many maps have foliage and fences and random debris that will set off the fuse on contact (even though I doubt a leaf or small branch would, IRL, trigger the fuse). At least it does get a small coaxial MG to help clear some of the debris away (but not powerful enough to take down trees or bushes).

@@robertharris6092 The mechanic was removed years ago. There are still some reprocussions from it in high crew vehicles, like the gunner not replacing, but the commander or machine gunner. Tends to happen in vehicles that have multiple turrets or crews 6 or larger.

In a weird way, I like this quirky little tank. I kind of like playing non-meta vehicles and trying to make them work within their performance limits. This thing is an amazingly hard tank to spot if you bushed up, sitting still and have turned your engine off in a forest.

Some of those french heat rounds are the most useless rounds in the game. The stock amx10rc round consistently fails to even damage tracks on a direct hit. I had to grind out the apfsds by just scouting.

It should be able to rotate the turret 360 degrees when standing still, which would be a nifty function to add to the game. The ELC also have alot of sister prototypes, one armed with two 30mm autocannons and another with two 120mm recoiless rifles. Yeah I've done really well in this tank. the low profile lets you hide places where other tanks can't. Like on Hurtgen forest you can go towards the far north a cap and disappear in tiniest defleads.

Yea when I brought the AMX-13 (SS.11) I was very disappointed with it (I needed AGM kills for a task way back than). No its not the AGMs, and I was familiar with the gun from the FL10, but that chassis is so sluggish, and underpowered (+ poor reverse) that I questioned why it is classified as a "light tank" with that awful acceleration.

It really ought to have scouting... I suppose one way to subtly troll other players is to make a bad but uncommon tank work. Once you've been seen clearing out maps in it a few times people are bound to say "That's a good tank, I must get it!"
