The Somua SM is a French Heavy Tank that's Rank 4 at Battle Rating 7.3 and is an absolute monster.
Not only is the Somua SM a very well armoured tank, it has a 100mm cannon that has a 4 second reload. That's right... 4 seconds! With almost 270mm of penetration, decent mobility, good armour and an insanely fast reload, this thing is a complete menace!
This is not only a good tank but it's also a very good grinder for Research Points and Silver Lions.

There isn't actually any proof to this but whenever I play the Italian m26a1at 6.3 it slaps. I always bring the m332 da 90/50 apcr and I constantly hit just the best one shot on kills. Just crew nock outs ammo racks whatever. It's obvious that I just have conformation bias, but I'd like to see your luck with the round. I must express it is only with this vehicle I feel this luck.

@ 2:31 I've often said that the spawn area shouldn't be one or two small, restricted areas, but instead allocate at least 2/3 to 3/4 of the map edge (even "bend" this around a map corner if needed). Let the players decide where in that space they want to spawn. That would help to avoid the spawn campers (both close in and across the map snipers), it's also give ground vehicles a chance to spread out and not be such an easy target for the planes that bomb the spawn. It wouldn't penalise the players that like to employ those tactics, no need for silly tank marking on the map, that has dubious effect. It won't fix the map designs that seem to want to channel you into 1 to 3 fire lanes that head to the caps, but it's be a definite improvement.

i recommend taking 18 shells, it boosts surivability A LOT and its usually enough, otherwise you can refill pretty fast at a cap, at that point you usually have to wait to refill ready-rack anyway

Yep. I have also seen this, or if you check their player card they sometimes tend to be inexperienced and newer. On the flip side, everyone should try calming down and instead DMing someone flame when they dominate the game, compliment them on their skill and maybe you’ll make a new friend.

It's also pretty quick for a HEAVY tank. OH ya that be sick if they let you pick where in the spawn you would spawn and that would be like how AirRB use to be where you could pick what airfield you wanted to take off from, but they took that away from us all.

For anyone getting this tank make sure to pair it with the f4u7 and the might mousse rockets and if you use the custom oridance feature you can bring 3 1000 lb bombs along with the rockets. I have completely wiped entire teams by doing this. I also like to point out that the Somua can get uptiered and fight enemy t55a's which have apfsds, laser rangefinder, and is fully stabilized. The only thing you have against it is a faster reload, but if they are smart, they will just kill your turret crew and just widdle you down as you are unable to do anything.

Implants are also a big concern as you have to gamble to maybe get what you want, and that's a big maybe. Not to mention the cost to move them around in your own inventory, that sucks big time!
