I love the tier 2 scene in EU. It's less overhyped like GSL and less serious while still playing at the top of what's attainable for most of us mortals. Even with all that, the players have unique personalities and play styles and an awesome caster

Yes we are, tiers are pretty small in StarCraft 2, neither of them is top tier anymore, so they are second tier, top of second tier but still no longer top tier. 3 years ago they were EU top tier, but that changed. Only Serral remains top tier.

Even if it wasn't decisive, the first game was a good example of why I don't understand why recall is used in the late game to save a single unit. Army mobility feels much more important to me.

I'm bound to agree, but I guess it depends, if it's a warp prism you might recall it to avoid wasting build-time on a warp prism when you build disruptors, if it's a dark templar it might be to incite paranoia. Other than that, if the unit is important enough it might be wise to save it, but for the majority of the time you might be right that keeping it up for mobility is more important.

what makes you spaz the camera right during a huge fight like at 13:25?

Sometimes if you are following a certain unit or group of units and they die the camera will jump back to another unit in the group, which might be on the other side of the map. It is easy enough to avoid but disruptor hits can be very abrupt and cause it to jump quickly, which is the worst time for it to happen :P

Vikings get a bonus vs mechanical on the ground, making them much better against the majority of protoss armored units actually, like stalkers. They also shred probes and buildings pretty quickly

Protoss gets ahead, doesnt tech up just goes pure stalker vs marine marauder ghost. Surprised pikachu face when they win no problem with coll, arch, immo and some misc gateway units.

"win no problem with colo,arch," ? I wouldn't call that an easy win! Showtime's resilience is well known and his defense exemplary, but he had a rough time, especially vs the liberators! Blink stalkers are the only gateway units which can pick off a Terran unit or two, and escape thanks to the blink also they're the best to defend vs Drops efficiently while waiting for highter tech protoss units to be built, which are expensive and , unless chronoboosted, take a rather long time to produce... Is P flawed ? Yes : Not that much unit diversity especially when it comes to gateway units vs Bio in particular ! Adepts are mediocre vs terran...unless we're talking about an almost never seen glaive timing atk vs T... their dps is too low to keep up vs MMM ! Zealots : Kited to death without support from other ranged units and even so are mostly dmg sponges! They're a necessity however and the cheapest way to harass mineral lines and can be quiet efficient! DT's : expensive late tech..good dmg but fragile and not optimal for army vs army engagements ! Again better to harass and create distractions and opportunities! HT : expensive, slow and fragile, storm is actually pretty good if it lands on bio or vikings but needs to be researched and you have to build up energy (you only have energy for 1 storm most of the time for each HT... Long story short : Robotic units offer the best way to fight Terran Bio compared to Gateway units SO please tell me you didn't expect Bio that costs overall less ressources to actually win most fights vs such expensive high tier units?

Terran is literally EZ mode. That sequence at 25:22 was painful to watch... like four abandoned, badly damaged marines absolutely melting a Phoenix and two stalkers all at full HP. Not to even mention the absurdity of how objectively broken widOP mines are. What a fucking joke

+1 upgraded marines , two stim and they focused fire so they were not abandoned. on the other hand the protoss units were badly managed, warped into the marines, and no focus fire.

Day 8 of destroying balance whine. TLDR : Races are well balanced including protoss. Stop whining. Sure some minor tweaks can help adjust. Widowmine not OP but also not good game design. So more and more im being put off Winter videos due to the obvious bias and whine in the comments. We had the era of Terran whine and now is the era of Protoss whine. To make it worse most of the whining is done by people who don't play/understand the game themselves and try to form an opinion based on a small number of replays and winters own personal takes. (Also note the 'balance report' winter used in his patch review video uses extremely small sample size and the results are not representative) To that end I am going to make a post every single day on Winter videos to address some of the common complaints (focussing on PvT as that is where most contention is) Ladder : Over 50% of the GM playerbase is Protoss in every region. GM ladder games PvT win rates are - 54.14% EU, 56.40% KR, 53.26% NA. All in favour of Protoss. Pro Games : (source Aligulac, which is the number 1 rating system and records all pro games, has also been referenced by winter himself for those not able to think for themselves and only want to follow what winter says) September 2023 (2,965 games sample size) - TvZ 48.17% Zerg Favoured, PvZ 54.04% Protoss Favoured, PvT 50.04% Protoss Favoured. October 2023 (3,453 games) - TvZ 51.55% Terran , PvZ 51.68% Protoss , PvT 49.38% Terran. November 2023 (3,014 games) - TvZ 52.32% Terran, PvZ 53.16% Protoss , PvT 46.81% Terran. As can be seen nearly all of them are very close to 50%. They fluctuate each month and the largest variation away from 50% in the last 6 months was in June 2023 where Protoss were beating Zergs in 54.51% of games. The largest variation this entire year was February 2023 where Protoss were beating Zergs in 58.15% of games. The largest variation in PvT specifically was November 2023 where Terran was winning 53.19% of games. This highlights actually how close the games between PvT actually are when the largest variation by month the entire year is less than 4%. Second largest variation was August 2023 with Protoss winning 51.37% of games.
