It's not exactly a difficult build. It's just a small structure built onto a pontoon boat. It's not suitable for full time living and has to stay in calm waters and avoid anything resembling bad weather or water conditions.

Question: Can you live on a lake long term or are there time limits for how long you can stay on the water. I was just thinking that this seems like a very inexpensive way to live.
@donutarmageddon79752 жыл бұрын
The expense comes with fuel, a slip, maintenance, storage if/when not in use, transport, having only 15 gallons of fresh water in your tank, & going ashore for groceries every few days because your refrigerator is so small. Still, I'd do it if I could. The trade off seems fair. :)

Nicely done! HOWEVER, having spent much time on sail boats and crossing both ocean, there is no way I’d want to keep up with that exterior bright work. West Systems with UV additive or others.... I DONT CARE, it’s an ongoing maintenance nightmare and will look terrible after five years of use. The only way to keep it is to have canvas covers made for everything and then not use it in the sum.

Neat build. I’d love to see more solar on the roof as well as a solar canopy over the rear part of the front deck to provide more shade and shelter than the bimini top. Love the hammock on the front - looks like an amazing place to relax.

The rooftop can be canvassed with solar panels for additional power. Also, we are currently designing a new model, Le Muskoka, with a completely enclosed front deck , and windows all around (daigno.ca/en/assets/images/textes-web-daigno-2020-en-1-1938x1232.png). @lass-inangeles75644 жыл бұрын
Why are you talking so much? In fact, why are you talking at all? We are not blind. We can see. We don't need an alternate audio talk track to verify what eyes can see. It is the mark of a rank amateur to narrate ad nauseum what the camera lens is showing you. Just zip it up. Your intro was too long. We are not here to see the carpentry workshop or hear the history of this person. We are here for only one thing - TO SEE THE BOAT! So pan your camera, show tiny details, let the camera be the eyes and ears. In total silence. Focus on the boat not the talking heads. This is such a lovely boat and such an irritating video to watch. NO TALKING!!!! Silence is golden. And cut out music too. Just let us hear the sound of the water and see the warm wood tones of the boat. We should be able to smell it and hear it and see it from our living room with zero narration. That would be a class act and good camera work.

Never have sharp corners in a boat... I can not count all the bruises I got from corners in the 3 sailboats I have been in when sailing out at open sea. I even missed having a seat-belt when going to the toilet and you had to use both arms grabbing the the toilet not get thrown of.... (that is what happens when you go out to the North Sea in a 28ft sailboat lol). My boat is 31ft and half the weight of 3 ton is in the keel and even that one will try to throw you into a wall or overboard when out at sea and the waves is just the wrong size and length compared to the size of the boat...

What a fantastic way to live. My only question is treating the gray water with a charcoal filter. It is very unlikely this will remove the excess phosphates from gray water which leads to pollution via excessive algae production. I would love to see a chemical profile of the effluent water. That roof has enough space for at least 2,000 watts of solar, yet they have very little solar power. WHY? If they "max out" with solar panels, they could also put a couple of ELECTRIC Trolling motors on the back, and do some motoring for Free and without making any noise.
@7Jennifer3 жыл бұрын
Gorgeous build! It is just so aesthetically pleasing to look at. It almost reminds me of the curvature of Japanese architecture. So many neat elements too. I mean, could you imagine chilling in that hammock over the water?? How awesome would that be! The cushions for the bed are the exact kind of cushions that some tiny home builders/van or truck lifers should be investing in. These actually look comfortable and substantial compared to the foam ones that are typically seen. Even the deck cushions are really nice. What a wonderful space to be able to live and cruise around in.
@MoanikaLewinsky4 жыл бұрын
Spooky hammock set up, if the hammock would be a normal original hammock (Hamaca) would be much safer, but americans and europeans, love to spread open "hammocks" by installing those dangerous rods on each end, that makes the hammock a total unsafe place to get on, let alone in the middle of the water, if it was me, I would install a real HAMACA there, and not that thing!
@LurkerDood3 жыл бұрын
Is that a wet bath? Bad design, there is space on a boat where you can design a bathroom where the toilet is not right on the shower, this isn't a space limited camper van 😬
