Jerry to producer: "I was out partying last night. Didn't get any sleep..." Producer: "Cool! Stay up. We'll shoot the scene that way..."
@CC-si3cr Жыл бұрын
Jerry's voice during the opening scene was so raspy and cool. Definitely believable that he was just about to catch some Z's. Jerry Orbach is one of those actors that should've been treasured more while he was still here. I never knew how talented he was until he died.

Actually filmed in front of the Intercontinental, like the script says. Formerly the Stadtler, where young couples would meet 'under the clock' as mentioned in Catcher and the Rye. The clock has since been removed in an act of cultural vandalism.

Ah yes, back when police brutality was considered "acceptable". Ugh, thanks to this show's actions, so many people think this is okay or appropriate. Never talk to the cops without a lawyer! They're not your friends.
@RLucas3000 Жыл бұрын
I didn’t see anyone brutalized. They went to put the cuffs on a guy who was lying to them, when he realized the trouble he was in, he gave up the councilman he was protecting. No one was thrown against a wall, or down a flight of stairs. No one was beaten with rubber hoses, or put in a chokehold for several minutes. No one is more liberal than me, but when you can someone having their hands yanked behind their back to have handcuffs put on “being brutalized” you water down that term so it can lose effectiveness when it should be applied, such as the case where an African American family was forced to lay on blisteringly hot asphalt for hours in the summer sun while waiting to be arrested. Cases like that are brutalization.
