Beautiful watch! I bought mine a week ago in red and absolutely adore it. The dial has a nice texture and color, golden/bronze hands and hour marks add a really nice touch and definitely adds some dimension. My wrist is not big at all (around 6.75") and it fits me perfectly. I actually went to my local store to try a bb58 first, but disliked the size of it right away, I don't care about the trends, it doesn't look good on a medium sized wrist, not even mentioning larger sizes. It is a little thick, but it doesn't feel bulky at all. I also in love with that yellowish lume color

It's my first higher end watch, and although the 58 was nice feeling since it was lighter and slimmer the black bay just fit me better. I'd you're above 7 inches in wrist size then anything below 40 will look ridiculous on you. Especially if your wrist span is quite long. I'm the same way and it's honestly kinda annoying to see a watch hyped to hell just to go into the store and see it when it ends up looking like a woman's watch on your wrist. Nice one good to see a current review for the watch rather than the constant 58 coverage. I purchased the exact same watch yesterday and am growing' tired' of the herd-like hysteria over the 58 for me a 39mm may be the ideal generic size for a watch but not for a specialist tool/dive watch; it was only a few years ago that such size watches were almost despised hence the DJ@41mm etc and that is ultimately a dress watch. I want a dive size watch with some prescence on my wrist easily readable and save my other watches for dress/formal wear; I don't need or want a do it all top-end watch I have some cheaper Seiko's for that. I think the 41mm will fit nicely in between my Sub date and Seamaster 300.. The case is fairly thick but then so is the GMT, my Bulova Moon and a few 7750 Chrono's I own. Who know's with the fad like BS of the watch world the 41mm may well be the one to own in about 15-20yrs time given the current disdain it is in now.

If you’re gonna make a statement like that you’re gonna have to back that up with references and examples .. not just personal opinion. You’re going by size alone? .. that doesn’t make it a ‘better’ watch … it makes it a smaller watch. I have 7.5 inch wrists .. the BB58 doesn’t fit as well as the 41. So .. Just buy a Tudor or two or go for a blancpain or a Glashütte. Both are way better than buying Rolex from the grey market. Unless it's a vintage Rolex that you want of course. They'll hold their value much better than modern inflated Rolex watches so those I'm fine overpaying for.

I very recently bought the Black Bay 58 Navy Blue on the steel bracelet to compliment a range of predominantly black-dialled watches in my collection that include the classic Rolex Submariner Date 16610 that I've owned for 19 yrs. The Tudor is a super, very well-made luxury timepiece and I appreciate its rather understated blue dial and bezel compared to the 'bling-blue' ceramic of my Omega Seamaster 300. Like-for-like think of the Blue 58 as a more modern take on its original black and gilt sibling. The blue really pops in daylight or in well-lit rooms and a pleasure to wear. Although not quite up there with the Rolex Sub in the absolute quality stakes - but why should it when barely 35% of the retail price - go to an AD and try one on. In-house COSC certified movement, 70 hrs power reserve, staggering lume.... you won't be disappointed.
