Looking forward to this one. Before I watch I would like to add that a skinny face is not always a healthy sign either.

I'm a minimalist but definitely an extreme hoarder in the fat department 😂

Today while I was out with my husband we saw a man walking along the sidewalk with not shirt on, wearing shorts, and he had his hair pulled back in a short ponytail. He was super slender, slight build with the thinnest legs and he looked SUPER HEALTHY. He seemed to be enjoying the sun and walk very comfortable in his skin. It was a joy to watch. I’m not saying he looked healthy because he was thin, he looked healthy just overall. His walk, his demeanor, his skin looked beautiful and he had a slight smile on his face. ❤😊

A blood test to check thyroid function/cholesterol/kidney levels is a great starting place. Remember “skinny” doesn’t equal healthy just like “fat” doesn’t equal sick. 😉 Take care of yourselves

Nice guest. However, I'm sure there is a lot more to his personal journey to that body. What and how much does he eat? What are his sleeping habits? How does he deal with stress? Does he have a mate/partner that supports his efforts to sustain that body? What does he know about a bodies individual fat set point? And, on and on.......

Superb! Gonna get sprinting to get rid of my chubby face 😁 I love that this guy is a “disease-reversing” doc. We need to talk more about how our lifestyle habits is a cause of disease, rather than rely on the old system of disease care (aka “health care”)

I agree! Not about sprinting...at 68 & out of shape, I won't be doing that. But NOT relying on the old system of disease care, or disease management. The allopathic medical system is not in the business of helping us be healthy, they need & want repeat customers. I need to make lifestyle changes in eating, & in just moving more. Walking. doing a 30 min Susan Powter workout (from the 90s, love it, but don't do it anymore). Building muscle & eating fat cleaner than I've been eating. Wish there were more doctors like this!

Springing is great, of course, but not always gentle on the joints. Would springing on a trampoline still count?😉

Eat food as grown. No processed fat, sugar, salt, chemical junk. Sleep. Movement. Water. Not expensive or difficult. So much drama about something so simple.

Ooooh excited for this! I’ve been thinking lately about CONSUMING - and it relates to everything, not just STUFF! Social media & Food are great examples. I recently decluttered social media from my life and feel like I have a new life. Now I have time to cook good food rather than instant gratification of consuming stuff that isn’t great for me It’s the exact same concept. Looking forward to listening!

Where do people start
@bburnsga
@bburnsga 8 ай бұрын
Start by cutting out sugar. Eat fermented veges such as raw (unpasteurized) saurkraut, Kimchi, etc. Move more -- walk very fast, sprint if you're able (at 68, I won't be doing that), do Core Secrets workouts, etc. Eat real foods, as close to the way they're grown as possible, if your digestive system will handle them. Juice veges of all colors, add an apple for a little sweetness -- all the enzymes remain intact. Make vege smoothies (check out greensmoothiegirl.com), Dr. Sean only eats fermented veges, but check out Joe Cross's Fat, Sick & Nearly Dead documentary. It's inspiring!

You may really want to tune into this episode. Taking cheap shots at someone you don’t know like this is super toxic behavior. Gonna go out on a limb here and say you have no idea who this guy is or what he is really about? Do you watch the channel? Have you read their book? Have you seen the documentary? Probably not or you would know that he is a well known and respected individual who lives to help others in their journey through life. You more than likely just read the few words of a fat face then got butthurt and started attacking without doing ANY research whatsoever as is the way with many of the dumb people in our society. Judging from your uninformed comment you have a lot of inner work to do. Watching these guys may actually be good for you.

I'm listening closely. I don't blame you for this response. The doctor did say all fat is not the same. But the conversation is not helpful for everyone. I can see that. Hang in there. You don't have to like everything someone says in order to benefit from some of what they say. My rule is "Take the best and leave the rest."

That's my reaction to the thumbnail but I'm going to try to listen to the video before I unsubscribe from KZbin/Patreon (it's been at least 5 years of supporting them, even with some not so hot takes in the past, so that's a big deal). There are so many reasons why people are fat, and trauma/eating disorders/genetics are just a few of them. Maybe if I hadn't had an anorexic Mom and been on a diet from 7 - 37, I wouldn't have killed my metabolism and had such a terrible relationship with food? Argh. :(

No, I can't. Facial fat doesn't mean someone is less healthy; Dude totally looks older now (he looks like a thin, wrinkly Gary Busey), and him talking about looking at an MRI to see "what to jettison"? FAT PEOPLE KNOW THEY ARE FAT. I KNOW I HAVE FAT INSIDE OF ME, IT'S COMMON SENSE. NO MRI NEEDED. No, to Boss Bro culture and this bizarre extended metaphor (getting rid of the good stuff in our house, what?). I get the heebie jeebies that he's 2 sentences away from recommending essential oils and bulletproof coffee, but with some kind of gibberish metaphor that just makes it all the more rambling. My values do not align. Sorry my money funded this :(
