@IGP just to answer your question of what would happen. we wouldn't even make it to Jupiter before everything and everyone on the planet froze solid. The distance we are from the son is the "Goldilocks' Zone", which is the actually scientific term, for a planet to sustain our type of carbon based lifeforms. Just thought Id share that since you asked, i used to be a Mechanical Aerospace Engineer before getting disabled and choosing to try out KZbin instead. So i studied A LOT of Astrophysics

@@Mr_C0mment you know how most pop culture aliens and monsters are kind of very human in a sense that we can easily imagine how they look or act and are mostly humanoid or animalistic or some weird blend of both? Well throw that out of the picture, we can't understand what these beings are, they are completely unknown and intangible to us, that is cosmic horror. Not being able to understand what you are seeing and feeling. Basically, the idea that these entities are so alien that we have never ever in history of humanity seen something comparable, thus have no point of reference for what it is.

an SCP can be, really anything. A ghost, an interdimensional horror, but what makes it an SCP is that it's written to be part of that fandom, it's usually an entity that's been documented by the foundation. A cryptid is more of an urban legend type of thing. Something you'd see stalking the wood at night and captured on a night-vision camera. I don't really see this monster as a cryptid, it's a lovecraftian horror which SCPs can be.

@BozoTheGreat
@BozoTheGreat Жыл бұрын
@@alxxz i mean, it's hard to explain, but I'll explain anyways. And don't worry, I know a good bit about SCPs. Ok, so cryptids are like a more unimaginable horror, and in this video, it specifically focuses on primordials, which are basically ancient aliens so powerful and otherworldly that anything of human comprehension can't *possibly* imagine. SCPs on the other hand are more like extreme horror, something not exactly anybody can come up with, but maybe think about. For example, there's an SCP that I don't remember the designated number for, but it's called something like "when day breaks" which is when everything and everyone, basically dies. SCPs are like a worse case scenario kind of thing, while cryptids and primordials or more on the psychological side. Just play dead space 2, and you'll know what I mean

Damn poor Juni, it was just vibing man. Also if any planet would ever get that close to us the whole planet would be ripped apart, but on the bright side you wouldn't be alive to witness that as the gravitational pull would completely flood the planet long before we'd even be able to observe a real difference with the naked eye.

On the right are potential hazards or other things that you should know. In this case, NA , guessing Not/None Available.

The scene with the giants playing music always makes me think of the Cthulhu Mythos with Azatoth being kept asleep by the beings playing endless music around him. Also, I think what I love most about the games by this dev is just how surreal and dreamlike they feel. also very biblical as part of the old "coming of the end of days" has the blowing of trumpets with each one triggering a major disaster till finally with the seventh one the gates of hell are open onto the earth, which would also tie into the giants and the fallen angel the main character keeps seeing - as those giants could be the Nephilim of the old testament aka beings born of angel and humans.

@indoraptergen4231 They made two sequels, the third one was whacky and didn't fit within the theme of the first two. With today's movie magic they could probably make an amazing reboot. The issue with that, though, is all us old people would try and compare it to the original and say it's not good enough since we still view the original with rose colored nostalgia classes. The original still holds up decently, I'd say, maybe a 6.5/10. But the 80s was a different time, and standards are higher now than they were in the 80s.

This is what people often forget, a creature cannot live on its own, it needs a population of hundreds, if not thousands, to survive. Unless all the lakes across the world were somehow linked to a single, Hollow Earth, ocean then they simply could not exist.

What would probably happen after getting to close too Jupiter is that the immense gravity of it would exert extreme tidal forces on the Earth. One side of Earth would experience much greater gravitational pull from the gas giant than the other side of the planet. Depending on how close, that would be really bad. Jupiter actually has a moon called Io which has extreme volcanism thanks to the tidal forces exerted on it by Jupiter. Here, the Earth would probably get ripped apart, the Earth's gravity would no longer be able to prevent things from falling towards Jupiter's gravity instead, and that includes the ground. Earth would be reduced to a small (compared to Jupiter) ring of rock and debris.

I love the idea of how the town is a much more "normal" environment compared to the lake, and how the game sort of takes the underwater aspect of the game from Subnautica, but combines with a much more domestic terror, that being that something as terrifying as a alien sea monster isn't as many lights years away as you thought it was... So I watched this then I watched Isle of Eras, and I think this game is set in a completely different universe within the multiverse that was mentioned at the end of Isle of Eras. Otto mentioned that it never lasts which makes me think James and Otto are constantly going through these cosmic horror situations because they messed with the multiverse and time travel. They go to one universe and it starts to bleed into other worlds and collapse and so they move on to the next one and the next one, so on and so forth.

How on EARTH was this made by just one dude????!!!! Wow! The idea, the creativity, the map, the story, the monsters, the music, everything. Probably the scariest thing ive ever seen, and barely any cheap jumpscares. Incredible 👏👏👏 10/10 stars.

1:31:06 idk if you noticed but the sigil from isle of eras, like the one with the vortex like design is on James’s trucks side window, which is a pointer to isle of eras. (I think, or it could hint at it being the same timeline but after the whole isle of eras thing) I loved the video man, keep up the spectacular work ❤❤❤

The game gives me the feeling it had more then one possible ending just by the choices your character makes. Not really sure though if it does but would give a unique experience none the less.

1:04:58 Yug, huh? Quite the strange name, considering there's a lovecraftian species with the same name. It also sounds very close to Yog, as in Yog-Sothoth. I don't know if this was intentional, but it's cool either way.

Lake Baikal in Siberia is the deepest lake on Earth at 1700 meter (1.7km) depth. Lake Vostock in Antarctica is also up to 1200 meters deep at its deepest part (with an average depths of 344m), but it has an ice shield above it of a thickness of 3700m to 4100m.

There's a similar creature to Nessie that is rumored to be in Lake Champlain, NY. It's called Champ and like in the game, there are stories about it from the indigenous people from the area.

Only similar in that it's a lake monster. Champ is roughly man-sized and in actuality is likely a floating log or fish swimming close to the surface.

Juni is sometimes mistaken as an Island It reminded me to *Uroboros* in God Eater Norn Database says: *It's as big as a mountain and it travels mostly on the sea.* *Sometimes it can even jump higher than a plane can fly* Also, the theme to fight this thing is called *The March of Evil*

For anyone who wants to know. Here are the Latin phrases in the video (feel free to comment any I missed or some that you think are cool) "Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur" - Everything that is said in Latin sounds profound. "Ferrum edeo et catenam excreto" - I eat iron and I sh*t chains.

(Spoilers for Isle of Eras) The portal symbol from Eras appears on James' car window, tying the link between the two games even tighter. If I had to guess Juni was likely one of the angels from the Isle of Eras setting, and the events here are of the James and Otto of this timeline, either before James found Otto and the two of them took over for this universe, or just a different one entirely.
