இந்தச் செய்யுள், சிலப்பதிகாரத்தில் காவிரி நதியைப் புகழ்ந்து கோவலானல் பாடப்படுவது. இந்தச் செய்யுள் கோவலனுக்கும் மாதவிக்கும் இடையே பிளவையும் அதனால் பிரிவையும் உண்டாக்குகிறது.
