The LA trade absolutely revitalized this group, Vilardi Iafallo and Kupari have found some great chemistry on their respective lines, and you can tell theyre hungry to find success. I’ve always found that because of the Jets small market we end up being ‘sneaky good’ to a lot of fans that don’t have us on their radar. My mantra this season every game has been “The Bottom 6 Drives the Ship” every game because they’re absolute workhorses and generate so much momentum for the top lines to run with. Lowry is the heart and soul of this team and I couldn’t be happier for him. Ehlers is my favourite player and I was ecstatic to see that goal last night, absolute thing of beauty. He’s got his shortcomings but he never fails to bring the effort, and he’s not afraid to just take shots and be dangerous which I find the top line to be a bit guilty of sometimes.

I'm not sure how the Jets 4th line utilization compares to other teams, but last night I thought they probably could have been on the ice more. Not that they were creating much for chances, but they were dang good at battling along the boards and eating minutes without giving up anything. And the third line... i'm never gonna complain about Lowry and Apples together, and Nino has been fantastic with them. Even the pretty purely offensive minded top line has been reasonable in their own zone more often than not. It's a good time to be a Jets fan right now

Love El Niño. He helped turned this team around with his positive attitude, grit, play at the net and never give up work ethic. The Jets are playing like a team now. Not a group of individuals. Credit to Bones and the coaching staff…… great defensive play= more offence

Adam Lowry's empty netter was pretty smooth...(I am so happy he's got the (C)). Leading up to the empty netter what a play by Appleton to dive and get the puck to Lowry!! Great game last night. It was an awesome solid effort!!! GO JETS!!!!

So glad to see Nik Ehlers getting back into form. He had a bit of a slow start the first month, but the last couple of weeks he's coming alive. It would be nice if he could pot 30 this season.

This jets team is a CONTENDER this year. Can’t wait to see Villardi hopefully come back tomorrow, and we also have another great #4 defenseman on the injured reserve in Ville Heinola. The jets are the most UNDERRATED team in the NHL, but we can make some noise!

Love the jets coverage. They are having themselves a year so far. They have almost dominated very game they’ve played even when they’ve lost. Vilardi will be back next game probably and heinola back in December

Ehlers made a play earlier in the game that was unreal too - just didn’t get the goal. He came screaming into the zone, literally hopped over a defenders stick, maintained control and got a nasty wrister off as he landed on one skate. I had to rewind a couple times it was so good. This was a really good game - the Jets quietly looking like a wagon.

As a jet fan I completely agree that Perfetti has impressed me the most! When we drafted him I knew he would be a steal at 10 and would definitely be in the top 6 at a young age but he seriously looks like hes developing into an elite playmaker! He's only 22. Kid has future captain written all over him!! Also thank you for talking about the Jets :)

Iafallo has been very impressive, he was worth the PLD trade straight up. But can't say enough good things about the new Capitan. Team guy through and through. The goal that they got with the stick off the bench was just so iconic, getting everyone involved. Brenden Dillon has been a beast too. The fight last game? Florida was getting chippy and Dillon just plastered the guy. He's been having a heck of a year. His first goal this year vs Arizona is also one of my favorites. It was his first goal in a century, and he just labeled it top cheese, and then smiles from ear to ear. The boys are rolling as a team. So good to see. (Call out to Samberg too, the guy must look like a zebra with all the stripes he gets from blocking shots)

Absolutely filthy goal. Two reasons this Jets team looks better: 1.) The play of Nino Niederreiter. He was an absolute pain in the ass when the Jets played against him. Copp was always solid in his role but Nino adds that level of grease that a pesky checking line needs. I have nothing but good things to say about Copper but sometimes he was a bit too passive for my taste. Iafallo and Namestnikov have also played very well and Apples looks way more comfortable this season. 2.) Scheif. A 200 foot effort starts in the face off circle and Scheif is up 5% from his career average. This is huge. He will never be a Selke candidate but he can be a true #1 with a solid 200 foot game.

I’m getting a Perfetti jersey cause he’s gonna be an absolute stud in the league. But I’ve been most impressed with iafallo, he’s played great with Connor and shief in the absence of vilardi. I actually can’t believe how good of a trade that’s been for us. Iafallo alone has been better than dubios, now we’re getting vilardi back and kupari has been a great addition to the 4th line. PLUS a second round pick. Absolutely ridiculous the depth that trade has given us

A few years ago Jets fans were talking about how we could only afford to keep either Ehlers or Laine. I feel like I was one of the only fans who wanted Ehlers more. I don’t say this often, but I told you so.

I used to watch Rick Bownass' father play for the Halifax Wolverine's senior hockey team when they came to Amherst ,N.S, to play our Amherst Ramblers . The Maritime Senior hockey teams had some very good players that were or went into the NHL ...Lots of talent being produced in the Maritimes since the QMJHL added teams down here ..

I agree with you Cole Perfetti is finding his path, all last year I would scream Shoot Cole Shoot, it was like he was waiting to give the soccer ball to the best player on the team to score. This year he is displaying more confidence on the ice and its showing. Shoot Cole Shoot.

Bowness calls out the team for their mediocre efforts in the first round of last season and look at how they respond to start the new season, particularly after extending Schiefele and Bucky. See what happens when a coach is actually allowed to share his frustrations with players not showing up? Tough structured hockey and elite goaltending, not unlike Vancouver. A few other Canadian "teams" could take notes from this approach.

After the game last night, Pomo stated that the Jets have the best third line in the NHL. The Jets are winning because of it - teams can't sleep on any single one of the Jets lines.

Finally the Jets are getting some attention! I think I speak for a lot of winnipegers out there saying it’s hard to pinpoint one particular player that’s having an impressive season. The boys have been lights out recently. We’ve finally got our top goal scorers (scheifele, Connor, Ehlers) playing decent defence, we’ve got a deadly 3rd line -possibly the best in the nhl right now, Morrissey is having another stellar season, and other defensemen have cleaned up their game and have even been scoring goals (Brendon Dillon has 4 beauty goals somehow). The guys we got for Dubois have added some much needed depth, Neidereitter and Namestikov have also contributed very significantly… and we haven’t even had Gabe Vilardi in the lineup yet… then there’s Hellebuyck! Team just feels so deep right now…if I had to choose one player who’s impressed me most, would have to say Perfetti as well. He’s been setting up some great plays for such a young player and has been a real difference maker in some games. Hope he continues to stay healthy and improve

Alot about jets impressed me this year Depth aquiring guys willing to try hard iafallo,villardi,nino,kupari. Scheifele is playing defence Connor always been scoring Morrissey wasn't a 1yr or lucky play he just didn't have help and when was younger was behind buff,enstrom,trouba,Myers. Hellebuyck and brossoit were good before and still are

Dylan Samberg. The reason we fell off after making the western finals was because we lost practically our entire defense. Chevy has rebuilt it and I've been saying Samberg is going to be a beast for years now and he's finally proving me right.

Looking through the whole season, the Jets have only really had one bad game (first game against LA). Every other game they've showed up, and looked like they mean business this year
