I'm on a quest to catch big fish from the beach! Sharks, Redfish, Black Drum, Jacks... whatever I can find! But I want to do it with more modest tackle. I love landing big fish on small tackle!

I could be wrong but I think the shark fishing “ban” was lifted at Tybee a few years ago. Like you said, it’s impossible not to catch some when targeting large reds

I think it was too, but it's still listed on the city of Tybee website. So I tend to err on the side of caution. I can't afford those fines lol. So yeah, I just fish for big reds and enjoy catching a bunch of sharks as bycatch.

Where can i get good, fresh shrimp for bait on Tybee Island?

I usually have to go to the Publix off the island for fresh dead, or I go to Bull River Marina for any live.
