I thought the us Hellcat was faster? Although it was a tank destroyer, not a true tank, it was clocked at near 60mph on roads i thought?

Hellcat is a Tank Destroyer not a tank as it had an open top turret, and paper thin armor less than a quarter of an inch in most places. But yes it was clocked doing 55mph on the test track outside GMC's proving grounds
