In the UK there's a generational difference in the way we measure things. I'm 19 I use kg, km etc. Except it's a gross mix with mph for cars and feat and inches for height (but only when talking about a person's height) because we're still mostly transitioning to metric and it's the same for most people my age. But my parents will use stone for weight and sometimes yards for short distances neither of which make sense to me.

To be fair to Ukraine. Keeping its nukes wouldn’t have been a good idea due to the fact that it’s economy was in the toilet and so keeping nukes when people can’t support there families wasn’t really a good look for the government ( a fact which the opposition party took full advantage of). Plus the only way for Ukraine to resurrect its economy was finicial aid which the us wasn’t gonna give unless they got rid of the nukes. Also Russia had all the lunch codes so they couldn’t have used the nukes even if they kept them
@adler8302 жыл бұрын
Launch codes aren't really a problem. All you need is a implosion core, detonator can be replaced. It doesn't mean if you don't have codes you cannot use nukes. There were more difficult anti-tampering devices that were broken. Thing is, plutonium in implosion cores undergo slow but constant radioactive decay, so you need to switch to new-made cores every 10 or so years. And Ujraine doesn't have means to produce weapon-grade plutonium if I'm not mistaken.
