I can't believe we finished Attack on Titan. While editing this I was crying SO much again, idk if it was revisiting the episode or just being emotional that its over in general :') Thank you all so much for wanting to watch this together with me, I truly had such an incredible (and miserable) time all at the same time! I don't think anything will ever come close to this, and I am so heartbroken that it's over. Our next animes will be Demon Slayer and then Frieren!

A few things. Armin has been narrating the whole story from the very first episode. Eren and Mikasa are singing the song in the ending.

mmhmm. It's very obvious honestly in the dub, if you watch the dub, Armin is the one telling this story many years later. The dub makes it pretty clear is all. Not saying it's superior, but I think many miss it when watching the sub at times

It’s pretty insane coming full circle and realizing that seemingly before Eren was even born, he was doomed to bear the weight of 2000 years of rage. Also the fact that Armin narrating at the beginning of the series was essentially him telling the story of The Titans. Truly an incredible experience to behold.

The last tree is implied to continue the cycle. In the last song that plays; in the full version, eren says “to you in 2,000 or 20,000 years from now” The alliance lived their whole life in peace, and the wars never started in their lifetimes Isayama said the colossal titans would have turned human, and they would be lynched by survivors of the rumbling. Even though they had no control of what they were doing and were conscience of it the whole time. People heavily debate on if Mikasa moved on or not. It’s never confirmed. She was buried in a ring if you look, but then there’s speculation becuase it’s solve it means this and yada yada, people are mad that would make Jean a cuck, but it makes sense for them to be together imo

fun fact: when the titan power vanished, so did the Ackermann´s superhuman abilities (that came from titan experiments on humans). Mikasa bacame actually rather clumsy in sports for a while and Levi... was already pretty damaged^^`

By the way, the final lyrics where the boy and the dog appear, say that we must stay away from violence and it is a hopeful song. There are some who believe that the titans will return, but they were born by the psyche, fears and desires of Ymir Fritza. as Zeke said. Therefore the titans will not return, since they were born by the desire of a slave girl with fears... the child at the end is the complete opposite, he is a free adventurer with a friend who is a dog... different from Ymir who A dog was chasing her to kill her.

More precisely the kid will wish for something more or less good depending on how society treated him. He definitely seems to be acting out of curiosity, which is a good thing. But he deosn't seem to be in great shape either. He still probably suffered from war and loss.

Fun fact the first sentence from Mikasa in the Manga (it's different in the Anime) was "see you later Eren" like the last sentence to him when she kisses the severed head and you only see the bottom half of her head with short hair and when Eren wakes up from the dream in the first Manga part he says to her "when did your hair got so long" and then says he feels like he had the longest dream

I mean you can move on to other anime that are close and have a lot of the same themes and deep meaning to them. FMAB and anime like that, I hold alongside it pretty much. Nothing really surpasses it, but some you can put alongside it and enjoy a lot.

Love the ending credit scene, eren dies, then mikassa, then armin who's always last chasing them.... also to quote a favourite show of mine: "All this has happened before, and will happen again." The little boy in the future is actually part of the final titan battle.... go check... also so many great voice actors, many from this and my other favourite anime bakemonogatari.....

I feel like him dying last proves that the symbolic behind Armin saying he was born to race Eren and Mikasa toward that tree is that life is all about enjoying it while you're reaching to your death. That tree definitely symbolises life and death so Armin racing toward it after the two means he died last, and that he lived to die, and tried to enjoy everything in between

10:00, the reason Falco can fly is basically because he manifests parts of the Beast Titan since he was turned into a titan by Zeke's spinal fluid. This same "manifestation" of other titans power can be earlier as well in the series, as when Eren can start using hardening in Season 3 after drinking (or eating the whole bottle...) of Armor spinal fluid. And as was mentioned in the last episode The Female Titan is particularly good at manifesting other abilities, which is why she's so good at hardening herself or calling other titans to her.

@@lurkingknight Unfortunately, Isayama's visual language is very crisp and poignant. I guess it all depends on how deep your belief in humanity goes. The details of last scene paint a bleak post-apocalyptic and post-scientific image. Foot wraps instead of shoes are the harshest indicator how bad it got, as it is something that can literally kill you in bad weather. Now, there enters your belief of what will happen next - whether humanity manages to stabilize at this sort of solar-punk or druid-punk state of balance between human needs and nature's needs, or will it devolve in few generations into world Ymir herself was born into. I am definitely not hopeful here.

The hallucigenia fuses with the boy, yet the boy's first instinct and desire is simply to save his dog. So the Hallucigenia grants him a power to save the dog or fuse with him haha Or crazy twist, the hallucigenia fuses with the dog and the dog wants to save its master, so it becomes some new sentient animal. Aka Planet of the -Apes- Dogs

no its not, ymirs desires are what led to the titans from what zeke had said. the final scene of the boy walking toward the tree is not like ymirs, she was running away being hunted to death by a dog and entered the tree as an escape while he freely traveled with his dog and freely entered the tree. The whole tone and atmosphere of the tree being a bright green with birds flying around in comparison to ymirs a gritty yellow and dark vibe shows us even more that whatever he desires will not be that of titans.

Obviously Isayama left the drawings unclear so that everyone could also think what they wanted, in fact it was his statement: the fact that the ending has interpretable concepts (and not only the ending but also some things during the series). Let's say that we can't say with certainty that that is her, from what we see we don't understand who she is, and among other things given the height she looks more like Pieck at this point, Mikasa is taller. When you see them from the front as they leave you can clearly see that she is shorter than Mikasa. so yes, it's clearly not a clearly thought out detail...lol

I like the ending but not how it got there. "Battle for heaven and earth", huge battle, many situations in which survival seems not possible. Yet we don't lose a single character. Takes seriousness away. Atleast 1 or 2 should've died and 1 or 2 is even not enough actually. NO ONE can explain to me that through ALL THIS everyone managed to survive. That ist just "Let's get a happy ending even if it isn't logical or anything." which I find very sad. AoT, still the best anime I have ever seen, but this one point is just sad.
