Merkur is certainly upping their ante. that rice beads bracelet matches the pretty dial. Cross in the middle of the dial almost reminded me the Tissot Gentleman - Green dial. thanks for a nice review mate!, it looks lovely on your wrist (that shape and dial with that bracelet makes it look very rich)

That is a good looking watch, but looking at the comments I see others have had that movement fail, I wish they would swap to another movement. Your photography made the dial look great 👍

​@@zillsburyy1I had one of these movements that failed too, never again. I fitted a vh31 in my watch, told Merkur it fits and they never replied. They could be making all the money Addiesdive/Militado/Escapement time etc are making.

Tongji movements are a crapshoot. You can build a beautiful case around it, but you're essentially polishing a turd. 4:39 My long time experience with this movement is a failure rate of about 30%.

@@hvrijsse The one I had felt horrible to wind, the minute hand moved pushing the crown back in after setting and after three months it became wildly inaccurate with amplitude about 150°. I stripped it lubricated it, got the amplitude to 240°, but there was 80 seconds difference in the rate dial up/down 🤣. I decided there was something horribly wrong with the balance assembly, chucked it and installed a vh31. I'll never buy this movement again.
