That's one of the best trimmer lines on a trimmer I've ever seen because the one I use is a petrol and oil one where the trimmer string burns out to fast ...that's a better trimmer hands down

I have a ego trimmer. It's an older model with bump line feed and you hand crank the head to reload line. Your right the batter is massive. I've had it about 4 years. I love it and when time to replace it I'll get the same one your showing unless they upgrade to a newer model.

I have a line trimmer with the bump head. I agree, its a pain to reload, the bump doesn't always work and I always thought it was dumb engineering. This one looks like a better design. One day someone will reinvent one whereby you don't need to put hands anywhere near the whip end to reload it.

Does the auto-feed cutoffs of the string fly back and hit your legs? If you keep it running with out cutting, will it keep auto-cutting the string even though its not hitting anything?

I bought the EGO Kit Power+ ST1623T 16-Inch 56-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Carbon Fiber Straight Shaft String Trimmer, week from Amazon (was lucky enough to hit it at the 30-day lowest price) to replace my ego st 1201t 12" from 2005 (which they no longer support). For the last three years I've been trying to get the string to work. It worked perfectly for the first couple of years. The 1623T has a lot more power and of course the autoload online IQ makes it much easier. This model came out last year.

I just go mine at Lowe’s. The issue I am having is this one seems to throw dirt and mud up on me pretty bad where my DeWalt electric did not. Could you please speak to this issue? I have used Eco gas trimmers for years before purchasing the DeWalt electric battery powered in 2021. Love you praying for us Thanks

I got buy one them! I cut mass weeds every week, a positive living in country lol. But this would save so much time!!!! Only question I have with any battery operated tool, power, and battery life in each charge? Deffently has power, how long did battery last, in hours or min.

I use a small chainsaw chain on my weed-wacker. Never had a problem again, and it's actually fun wacking weeds. You can take down small shrubbery as well.

When the trimmer line extends, your guard blade cuts it. Is that causing the jerking sensation? If my 1994 gas trimmer ever dies, I would strongly consider this model. The Echo Speed Feed 400 trimmer heads load the same way, but they are still a bump feed. It's the best trimmer head I have used on my McCulloch trimmer, but the EGO trimmer head seems even better!

If a gas trimmer has lasted 30 years for you, why not replace it with another gas operated one?

I had a Craftsman during the 90s that had auto feed. It was great. It used a centrifugal arm that unlocked the head to release line. The line itself countered the force of the arm. If the line was long enough, it locked the head. When the mass of the line was less that the arm, the head unlocked and more line fed out. You had to be careful about the line you loaded. It had to have the proper weight per inch. Although I really liked it because I never had to bump it on my lawn or find a place to bump it, it did use a bit more line that my current manual feed.
