All I know is that my silly, simple little life is that much better for your contribution to this thingy. We’re not that strange, as knife people anymore. I appreciate you very much and would be “loster” without you being a part of my weeks! Btw, I live in Hawaii and subsequently cannot choose a purchase over my family. But you provide a viable, necessary service to us. Be well, lollipop daddy! Keep the sharp side down! 🖤🤘🏿

I’m not sure what happened to my comment, little weird.. but in response to your previous comment, I believe you have interpreted what I was saying in a different way than I intended. I’d never just try to tell someone what their due diligence is, and to try and make this as short as possible, you do “run a Discord” which in that case I think you and most people would agree you have an obligation for who stays and who goes. The due diligence part would simply be doing just a tiny bit of research on whoever it is being removed before actually removing those people. You and your mods have final say I’d imagine, so that’s all I was referring to. It’s absolutely not BS

Your success is well-deserved and well-earned. You are good to and for all the nice parts of our community. I will continue to enjoy your earnestness and good nature as long as you offer it and I hope it will be a very long time. Thank you very much my friend and best wishes for you and your loved ones.

I’d love to see you do an episode of KNP and talk OEM manufacturing and knife design. Brian knows all about dealing with Reate (pssss I think you should just do a design with them k thanks) and it would be cool to hear what he might have to share with you about his experiences with the whole process. I’m really hoping you design some absolutely ridiculous knife first that has almost no utilitarian use whatsoever. Then name it something really cocky and over the top. “The Greatest Knife Ever Made” 😂 23 points of locking interface and 13 deployment methods with a bottle opener in the opening hole and a prybar/glass breaker on the end of the handle.

The difficulty of starting US manufacturing from scratch that the Knife anuts podcast covered is a big reason why we don’t see more made in the USA knives. The low threshold of how much of the work has to be done in the US to legally label a product as made in the USA is probably a big partof why people get so skeptical and go sniffed for conspiracies

I hope someday you will do a video about how bad clones are for the knife community and how they are completely ripping off the REAL makers of fantastic knives! The clones have gotten so good that it's made me really weary buying knives on the secondary! Another thing that really irritates me...I saw a huge thread where the people were bagging hard-core on hinderer because of all sorts of different problems, when they very obviously acquired clones. If you get a hinderer for $100-$200 and it is garbage...you bought a clone bud! Drives me nuts lol

@@ssunfish Yep. Scalpers are gross. The bottom feeders of consumerism. Unbranded clones, like Green Thorns, not pretending to be something else, I really have no problem with, everyone copies each other *shamelessly* in knife design anyway. But full on counterfeits trying to profit on somebody else’s name? Yeah that’s garbage, no respect for that.
@metal_complex
@metal_complex Жыл бұрын
I still won't show a green thorn or similar. To me it's ok to have hints of this or that in a design, but following each line exactly for no other purpose than to capitalize on the popularity of the design is slimy to me. People can (and should) enjoy what they want... But I'll pay substantially more for the real thing every single time. TLDR: common borrowed elements are ok if they're kept to a minimum. Unbranded direct copies don't sit well with me.
