Your barn is so neat! How do you keep that horse so clean? Oh, and make sure you undo the belly strap of the blanket before the chest strap, in case your horse spooked and ran. with only the belly strap buckled, the blanket could tangle the horse's legs.

At my barn we're not aloud to brush the tail mainly bc it takes 1 year for one tail hair to grow back so we only do it for shows

Just wondering....what is the reason for clipping horses in certain areas? I understand clipping their whole body but not parts...

It is called a blanket clip. It is so when they are exercising they don't get sweaty pin parts like their neck and belly but they still have some hair remaining where their blanket is to keep them warm in the winter as I like to keep my horses turned out :)

Allison Fikes Casper is clipped so needs to be rugged over the winter. That day he was out at night. I put him in his stable to give him his breakfast. The stable rug keeps him warm and the rug on top keeps him dry as it rains here a lot in the Uk
