I don’t pretend to understand the complexities of your business. But years ago I was in sales. We would have quarterly lunches or phone calls to understand why customers weren’t working with us year over year. Furthermore, to encourage the 1:1 interaction. Our sales team would call their counterparts at our customers once a month. I had 200 clients. Probably 20-50 that used us every quarter. The others was simply a email or call to catch up. I had notes on all my counterparts in an excel sheet. Spouse, kids, football, you name it. Then every year we had a big party for all our customers. Even in hard times it bought everyone together. Just food for thought. Love your channel! Greetings from the states!

Daniel that particular Friday is when my one man business hit the brakes literally and figuratively. Cash flow had been suffering with many, many maintenance issues prior and on that Friday, fully loaded I Had my one and only vehicle breakdown with a run away diesel engine in Nice France. The world ended that day after finding out my European cover I've had for 3 years didn't cover vehicles over 8 years old in France. More money paid out and a flight back to Ireland. I drove out in a mates rig Monday to recover my Trailer as couldn't afford to get the van home and it's dead anyway. Mate i genuinely feel like you did when the money train stopped. Hopefully unlike me you'll bounce back.. started my business 3 years ago watching your video's every week. Always wanted to meet you whenever I was in London.. chin up mate keep the good fight going.

Money!! I purchased an old dumper from a neighbor. We agreed a price got the dumper then he became ill. 3 months later he drove by and I had to run out to stop him. He couldn’t be bothered about the money his actual words were. You’re good for it if something happened to me during my illness you would have sorted with the wife. Different sums of money I’m sure but the fact that I owe ANYONE ANYTHING Grates me like you wouldn’t believe. Yes I’m sure there’s the sort that say IF THEY AINT ASKED THEY AINT MISSED IT Type. But it’s a great feeling to be self financing and able to stand on your own too feet. Great work ethic Daniel.

@phalanx380312 күн бұрын
Tip for the concrete silo find a twin for it. 1- more capacity meaning you can stay working longer should there be a delay with delivery 2- should one brake down there is another that is still going 3- should both be down its crazy unlikely they both brake in the same way so parts can be taken from one to keep the other going till new parts arrive. because of this there is no need to spend loads of money on massive and costly spare parts like gear boxes and motors that sit around and do nothing to make profit. its one thing to have spare fuses and relays but to have spare motors and gearboxes is not an idea situation unless you have a high turnover of those parts.

Now is the time to get serious, concentrate on business (no more fun projects) I know it's hard but focus (after a good night's rest) will enable you to think more freely. You need some more free time to give yourself even more options. You care about your team so allow them to pull their weight. Get some more sales in. Speak to your Mum or elders, they might give you more insight as to the way forwards as un attached as it may seem, wisdom comes from unexpected places. Oh and say hello to Michael O'Donovan for me, I know he gives you a dig but that's just his ego and besides, it seems like he's the only friend you've got outside of the company😂. @1chish13 күн бұрын
I think you are being somewhat optimistic. For example: Daniel's employment costs have just increased by a fair amount. That damages cash flow and profit. Every Ashville supplier will have the same and will likely increase prices again damaging cash flow and profit. Increasing employer's NI will be a significant brake on the ecomy and many businesses will just either give up or go bust. You do not generate growth with higher taxes.
