My brother and I went to see Moonchild a couple of years ago, when this album was released. I, like most people fell over this by accident and was dumbfounded by the beauty of the voice. The funk was the secondary reason (I've long been a fan of Johnny Guitar Watson from the 70's ) The music was and is perfection. So we went to Manchester and it was perfection. The venue was The Band On The Wall, Manchester. While we were having a bite to eat, no lesser person than ***** came out in to the foyer. I laughingly said out loud to my brother, Ooooohhh look there's Amber Navran. I nearly fell on the floor when she came over and introduced herself. My brother and I were at the front with cameras, and oh boy we were not disappointed. Then came the unexpected bonus. After the show, they were ready, doing the meet a greet bit. We had to take the official selfies with the band, but with specialised Nikons and Cannons. They were wonderful to chat with. Amber was beautiful, her voice is exquisite, and they were happy to chat with us all. It was the perfect day. I have all the albums, a baseball hat and teeshirt.

I can only speak for myself but this record always reminds me of the music of the early 70's, just pure, deep soulful stuff, Marvin Gay and everything else that was riding the radio waves in '71 and '72.
