Thanks for providing insight how these works! I just bought them for my mom who suffers from a very serious hearing problem (more than 60% loss) and regular headphones wouldn't work on her. I am thrilled to see her playing her favorite music!!!

So, i just bought a $30 bone conduction earphones (baiclud hs1 on amazon). When the headset is like around 15 inches from me, I could hear the audio coming from them even though my phone was only around 25% volume. So, I guess the vibration was enough to cause air conduction? Is this actually normal with bone conduction earphones? Or is this because this is a cheap one?

I have the Pro for past year. I had mastoid infeaction when 5 year old kid 45 years ago. Where they did operation where they removed my inner bones/upper eardrum. In turn lost half my hearing in one ear. I found with Pro using the cheekbone , give me better hearing experience on that bad ear for sound. I am interested how to compare my hearing loss gain with the new version. So will give it a go today and update as will the tech for bone conducation be better. As air tech should not help is my feeling other than for my good ear .. lets see .. / As huge market if people with hearing this technology outside cycling /runing benefits etc

First of all, awesome video! Will you be doing a video on the Technics AZ80?
@ThisIsTechToday3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Probably not. They’ll show up in round ups and stuff, but they’re a bit old and there are so many new products coming out that I’m trying to keep up with. If they come out with a new model I’ll definitely review them and compare generations.
@ITSYEBOISteven3 ай бұрын
how good are these for people with hearing loss? also, how about people without an eardrum like me?
@ThisIsTechToday3 ай бұрын
Yeah! That’s the cool thing about bone conduction. With some forms of hearing loss you can hear what is being played because of bone conduction. It’s what Beethoven did. That said, you may want to try out both this model and the prior generation which was more bone conduction and less of a hybrid and see which one is the best fit for your situation and preference and if it does work with your hearing loss. If I were to guess, it should work if you don’t have a hearing drum, but I’m not a doctor and you should consult with one and/or give them a try and see for yourself. Hope that helps!

How much sound of the Pro 2 can be noticed by people around you, on a commute or in an office environment?
@ThisIsTechToday3 ай бұрын
It’s more noticeable than the prior model because this has air conduction which are tiny speakers shooting into your ears from the open. They’re best for more active situations like running and biking if that makes sense. Less of an issue there.

@@ThisIsTechTodayyeah exactly this needs to be made aware to everyone and most people that got the first gen got them for doing Gig work where your surrounded by people inside store settings and where you inside uber and Lyft customers where they can hear everything your private phone calls your private podcasts that you listen too they literally took the best things about the first gen and flushed them down the toilet and said you know what we don’t want the customer to have privacy or to be able to wear the new upgrade because we took away the thing that made so many gig workers and factory workers purchase them
@JackofAllGigs27 күн бұрын
@@ThisIsTechTodaythere are way less bikers and runners then there are gig workers that have to have privacy in stores or uber and Lyft rides you can let the company know when there sales sink massively it’s because of the lose of privacy that could cause the workers that bought the first generation in masses to potentially lose there jobs or receive bad ratings from vindictive liberal democrats
