This! There are hundreds of thousands of us at Stage 4. Only a minority are classified as Terminal, which is the End Stage condition. They are still reeling from the news but so many fit men and women outlive their prognosis. Live for every day and keep making new memories ❤

When I was caring for my soulmate who had MND, I found myself crying uncontrollably in the shower. It was my safe space, where I could let go of all the built up emotion. Then, one day, I told myself, “Today is not the day to cry. When it comes time to cry, there will be more than enough time to cry then. But for now, it’s time to care. It’s time to do.” That helped me get through it, and the like Chris says, I can get through the next 5 minutes, then the next 5, the next 5…

Seven years ago at age 42 - two weeks before is 43rd birthday, my son was diagnosed with stage 4 advanced metastatic prostate cancer, Gleason 10. Started right away on Lupron, chemotherapy and then radiation. The following year he continued with Lupron and Zytiga was added. Seven years later, to the shock of his doctors, he's still alive and enjoying his life. He jokes that he takes two drugs for the cancer and four for the side effects. He has had a fantastic attitude throughout it all, and every oncologist will tell you that that makes a big difference in outcome. I am writing this for Chris and Sarra as I KNOW how much I needed (still do!) to hear these stories. There IS hope! You can be a survivor, too. Sending healing thoughts your way. I will be pulling for you.

This will resonate with so many. When you first get the news of any serious illness you are unable to focus. When my hubby was diagnosed i did exactly the same as chris. I had to get up and walk around the room. Im not sure why. I said to friends i will never feel secure again as it rocked us. A year on we are livjng normal lives with all its joys and stresses. And realising there is now so much hope for cancer patients and people living with and not dying of this illness. A lovely normal couple. Love to them.

My husband was diagnosed this year. I feel the same. Suddenly I was worried about his future, my future etc but now I try and take one day at a time. Unfortunately my husband is not coping well with the diagnosis so it is hard for me to try and keep him going mentally.

Blows my mind that in 2024 we cannot cure cancer . As said in my other message , a lot of doctors and GPs pass ignore peoples symptoms and tell them its stress or anxiety why their body is changing . Its frightening how lacking in basic care we really are despite having ''free doctors''
@Sezfluffy11 күн бұрын
We can but they suppress the cures, plus our lives are so unnatural and stressful

Well, i think they have what is ,needed but the big pharmaceutical companies, are making billions of dollars 💸 💵 💲 i know this is not a nice thing to say ,😢 😮 😢.❤ 🎉 ❤.TAKE the treatment it helps you die with less pain, i know a friend who got cancer had most of his tummy taken out ,the FAMILY were not told ,when you have this operation, you wond live for more than one year. ❤❤❤❤❤

I work in the NHS and they are still making targets at seeing anybody on a cancer pathway within 2 weeks. Part of the problem is that people ignore symptoms or like Chris they appear as something else possibly. However we need to do better in this country with regards to cancer treatment and survival as we are behind a lot of Europe.
