Suggestion: Put some support boards under the "new" solar panel. It will probably break as the load will be to heavy when the winter comes. Your boards are connected to "short" to the big construction and will not hold the load of snow.

What a great new logo! Not even a minute in and I was chuckling 😊. You and all your fur friends what a blessing to have this special relationship. The poultry are so sweet, never thought I’d say that having grown up on my grandmas farm, where they were just hens 😉😊. I think you should keep the outside walls up, and close them in. Also that center pole for the walkway, leave it up and turn it into a table with shelves underneath for storage as well as the one in the back you mentioned. That will give you an El shaped work top in case you have building projects in the winter, you can do them in an included shed/workshop.

I have learned over time, Anything worth doing is worth doing right the first time. Otherwise you just end up band-aiding it over & over spending more time then it would have taken to just do it right. Most cases it won’t ever get done right till something breaks costing even more money.

Oh I forgot to add you guys are encouraging so many people in the world. I believe to have the courage to do Things on your own instead of hiring people things on their own instead of hiring people. My son, who is in his 40s, lives in the country now. And he got someone in to clean the chimney They started from inside the stove and went up the stove pipe Wow So I said to my son you're going to have to do it yourself So he bought himself a scaffold this year And hes going to do it himself. Good for him even though you live in the country Doesn't mean everybody knows what they're doing I believe we should know many things about taking care of our homesteads

Looking at your single strand electric fence. I would add 2 bare wires 1 above and 1 below. Our son worked for the U.S. Park in Alaskabear country living in a military tent on a raised platform. Around the perimeter the fence used 5 wires. The bottom was hot, the second one was grounded they alternated that way so the top was hot. You could drive several ground rods as deep as possible to insure better ground contact. This worked against even the grizzly bears on Kodiac Island. Enjoy your videos even here in the corn patch of Iowa.

If that odd solar panel isn't the same voltage and wattage as the others, you don't want it in the system. It'll mess with it. Mixing panels will work through another controller, but not in a string.

Enjoyed going on the adventure with you and the dogs. I love you animated logo, very cool. Katie cleared out the meat chicken/goat shed nicely and you have some good ideas for it's use. I was wondering about the moisture in the air possibly causing problems with metal tools etc if as they are stored in there. You should consider how to mitigate that issue. The top wooden support on the solar pannel added seems too thin and I'm guessing it will sag significantly very shortly. Maybe add a cross piece between the upper and lower supports and then run a post to support the pannel to solve that problem? Nice job you guys, always look forward to and enjoy your videos. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.

What a hike 😂, I was tired just watching y’all. The clearing around your solar panels is great now. Momma hen is so pretty with her baby chicks ❤. The tool shed should be closed front for the winter especially. I’m loving what y’all are doing to help you work smarter and not in the elements so much now, looking great, keep up the great work, but do take much needed breaks to replenish your creative thinking of new ideas, breaking during a project will strengthen these creative gifts you’ve been given. Be well and safe and much love and happiness to all ❤

I don’t have an instagram account, so i am going to post my vote on the front wall of your work space shed. I think whether it is there or not is going to depend on the length of wood pieces you are ruipping or planing. You guys put some long boards through the planer and tablesaw, so you mind need to move those tools to near the wall, and extend the wood out.

Dealing with life on lifes terms.. Greg, its hard to not be able to jump from log to rock like we did as kids and it gets a little harder at your age .... that said tho, it will hold on for a good bit till lets just say another ten years go by.. and then Bang! Its a another step back... and if like me for example, by what my body did was at sixty two or a touch more is when my large upper body did that horrible thing called shoulders slide down to the belly button!! Errr... its a hard thing to accept and if you work hard, you can maintain. Some guys just get that second wind and get really large in the areas that you want muscle in. Just live your lives and not worry about it... life is way too short to not enjoy everyday with your Katie
