The amount of drama in Wuthering Heights often rose to the level of camp for me, and that's why I loved it so much.

i watched the movie of RWRB first and then read the book. i love them both. i think the movie is way less serious and more of a fun rom-com than the book but also i think the book hits a bit different for different audiences because for example, for me, as a gay trans man, henry resonated SO much with me i would be SOBBING in some parts of the book. if you liked the book and specific characters, the movie does take some characters off so maybe you wanna check that out before if you don't wanna be sad about them not being in the movie.

Love that you’re an Ali Hazelwood enjoyer! That’s my girl, like yes her books are silly but they are also GOOD. Currently finishing Love, Theoretically and I think it’s going to be my favorite, it has her strongest, most developed, funniest FMC aaaaaand the romance is just perfect 🫶🏼

I see you're just like I was, and didn't realize you picked up a book that was part of a series. The Right Move is actually book 2 of the Windy City Series. Mile High is book 1, and Caught Up is book 3

Just found your channel! My top tier romances are Edenbrooke (Julianne Donaldson), Reign and Ruin (JD Evans), and The Viridian Priestess (Katrina Calandra). I defa agree on ACOTAR- the only reason that it got popular is because of the fairy smut. There's actual well written fairy smut out there, but this ain't it.

When comparing the romances we have in common, I have to say we only agree 100% on Book Lovers. I'm shocked you haven't read any Abby Jimenez yet. She's one of my favorites contemporary writers. Every year I look forward for hers and Emily Henry's books.

My top tier: Helen Hoang: Kiss Quotient and the heart principle, I personally loved Funny Story by Emily Henry (I laughed out loud a lot), Before I let go by Kennedy Ryan (I liked Long Shot too. The themes are similar to ‘it ends with us’ but it’s so much better). I absolutely LOVED dating dr Dill 😁. However, I dislike Ali Hazelwood’s books. They aren’t for me. I think you’d also like Kennedy Ryan’s new book. I enjoyed it but I think it wasn’t as good as BILG.

anyone have a tip for someone who hates spoilers but wants to avoid smut (because asexual and it's boring, not because I think there's anything wrong with it) How can I figure out if a book that I consider reading has a lot of sex and/or treats sex as something integral to all romantic love?

You didn’t have much queer romances on your list. Also I have started reading pride and prejudice multiple times but have never finished it. I just can’t seem to finish it past half. Idk what it is. It doesn’t click with me as it does others
