I have that exact same cheap Oster that I bought used for $5. Works great! Made many many waffles. Including cake batter waffles. Reheats French fries beautifully Also single serving leftovers if you wrap them in parchment paper first.

Not true. Cheap cookware/appliances often don't cook well. And demonstrated here, the cheap one didn't cook evenly. One side ran hot and cool/unevenly on the other. Sure, depending on how badly something performs, flavor may not be affected, but there will definitely be a difference in the cook. That said, price doesn't equal quality.

I got both of these because I have divorced parents and neither of them had waffles makers, and I first saved up and bought the oyster one and learned that I’ll need another (better) one at my dads. And the turning one is great for Belgium waffles 😁

Chill, covered, at least 1 hour or up to overnight step :3 Preheat waffle iron to medium-high; lightly coat with cooking spray. Pour about 2/3 cup batter onto waffle iron. Ijs a real cook knows this. Had he done a second one differently meaning check on it to know when it’s ready he would have better results. That wasn’t a good representation at all

I watched the short again to make sure I didn't miss something. It consists of a bunch of very short cut video fragments. Some of them show the brand names of waffle makers but it is pretty hard to see them clearly without pausing the video. But maybe that's just me. I am not sure who is going to be interested in watching cheap vs expensive waffle maker videos except somebody who is trying to make a purchase decision (like me). And this kind of video pretends to be useful. It looks useful, but it's clearly a waste of time. It almost feels like a flavor of a clickbait video. I hope I managed to explain my opinion about it more clearly.
