Eldridge Pope based in Dorchester, Dorset. Named after Thomas Hardye the author (not Admiral Thomas Hardy, Admiral Nelson's flagship Captain). Author of Far from the Madding Crowd. Excellent beer

Had it on cask in the Rake Borough Market also picked up a bottle in the Utobeer cage in the market at £8.

I could imagine this pairing nicely with a slice of Christmas cake and a piece of strong mature cheddar sat in front of an open fire.
