His original showing (not the remaster) is the one of two bosses to have a green aura in the entire Ryu Ga Gotoku series, the other being Toki in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise.

Ishin especially is set around the time of Japan opening to the West, which was due to a lot of Spanish influence. "The Death Of The Government" that the title of this song refers to, is the Tokugawa Shogunate ending due to Western influence!
