The most hilarious line this episode was Mary saying she believes in justice. If she gave a crap about that, she wouldn't refuse to report gunshot wounds and criminals who come to her clinic. Gotta say though, it was satisfying to see Mary be the villain, the role she was born for. It's funny, I actually did like her in Season 1, because she was, at least, friendly and I felt some sympathy for how Kate kept ditching her, but they dropped all that when they hit Season 2.

She's a selfish, spoiled brat who always has to get her way and throws a tantrum whenever anyone (Especially a man) says the forbidden word "No" to her. What she did to the poor schlub in the beginning of this episode is perfectly in keeping with that, all it took was a teeny little push from Ivy to make Mary go from obnoxious to evil.

Even assuming that she's not a threat to others, you want to make sure she's not a threat to herself. 16:45 - Holy. Shit. So...Sophie TORTURES a guy to death, Ryan sees the results of this, and...nothing? Also another thing it’s been established in elseworlds that Wayne enterprises is basically not even an active company anymore since Bruce left Gotham, and that even the board of directors has left the company so there’s technically no more Wayne enterprises. That was the whole point so Kate can have Wayne tower be a good hideout and not have to worry about anyone interrupting them. The writers of this show is trying to undo something that has already been established in elseworlds. Maybe the cave has skylights. It would make the Batcave really vulnerable; but it explains the light.

I. Called. It. It was so obvious when Mary was dragged by vines.

The writers are really trying to make Alice redeemable somehow, but forget that she's a villain😔. #2..where the hell is the sunlight coming from in the batcave?
@Nabinut3 жыл бұрын
The sunlight scene made no sense. It would have been better if it happened at the gardens...but no, because logic.
@ZikedY3 жыл бұрын
The sunlight comes from the sun, how to it got to the batcave I do not know, unless it's mostly underground with some part sticking up in the building. Which I guess would make it more of a building with a basement which wouldn't make sense for the whole cave part of the name

Just what you want for your super-secret hideout: a set of windows going to street level in the middle of Gotham city, where any passerby can look in and see what's going on.
@florineot3 жыл бұрын
I think we're meant to believe it's a hole in the cave ceiling that is slanted... and unnaturally straight... and goes all the way to the surface. Except it is in the middle of the CITY! How do you expect someone not to stumble upon it or even fall into it?! Also, what do you think will happen when it rains?
@thoriasunlimited40533 жыл бұрын
If sunlight is her trigger, does that mean Mary turns back into Mary at night? I wonder if the writers even considered that. Probably not.

My new favorite game is seeing if I can manage to watch a full episode and try to think what Thorias would say about each scene then playing my own Bingo when his episode comes out and see if I was right.

Well, if we are going to be pedantic about architecture, then the "bat cave" should be, at the very least, in the middle level of the Wayne Enterprises Skyscraper. This is because the building is located in an area surrounded by other tall buildings, so to have direct sunlight like that means that the floor it is located in should be really high, so 3rd floor would not theoretically cut it. It should be also has access to a side of building, probably the eastern side.

16:03 "Evil Whit Guy" killed himself with the chain attached to his right arm. How exactly is a whole other question.
@jourdonpatron2123 жыл бұрын
Thorias, Mary said all those things because Alice got into her head making it seems Ryan and Luke were using her but I still think Mary is partially to blame here, she wasn't exactly direct about what happened to her, maybe because she didn't remember how the details? And IDK why Luke was screaming for his dad to help, Mary did him a favor by taking out that shitty failsafe.
@taragnor3 жыл бұрын
Yeah lol. The failsafe has done nothing but screw him over. But the writers apparently thought Luke was being too useful lately and kicked him back into the dirt, by having him act like a panicked child instead of a superhero.

Your reviews really are the highlight of my week, I force myself to watch this junk as a vote of solidarity to you (Arrrh me maties), a misery shared is a misery doubled, err, ok maybe I didn't think this out very well :-o You do genuinely make me laugh out loud, It almost makes it worth the watch, I sympathize with your pain of having to watch it then write about what you just saw, I can push the whole thing into the protected areas of my mind locking them away never to be thought about again, but you actually have to write a script about this sh**t! I do really pity you, however, please don't stop! Sorry Thorias your just too funny :-D

I will admit I like the idea of of Poison Ivy being a designation/some kind of chemical imbalance or whatever they said it was. It definitely adds a little intrigue as to what happens when it gets inside an average person like Mary
